Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
These workarounds help make the game playable, but not enjoyable. What was the point of early release pre-order if the games not really ready.
If just one person would have played the pc version they would have noticed these issues right away, but its like they didn't care to test this version. If they did in fact know about these issues and just sold us a broken version then SHAME 2k shame.

No dice. The game stutters even with every visual setting on low or turned off. It provides a playable framerate, but there are random spikes.

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
If some of you can play the game without stuttering/lag doesn't mean it's optimized and should run for everyone. Also Leftos is already trying to address the problem and this means 2k is aware there's something wrong.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Based on what? I can max out phantom pain with no issues. I ran a check for bottlenecks. 2K16 uses 100% of three cores and less than half of the fourth. A core i5 at 3 Ghz is more than enough for 1080p gaming. I'd rather have someone who knows what they're talking about chime in to say the least.

No stutters, all 80+ fps, no drops below 60. Maxed 1080p w/o supersampling. Maybe it has to do with drivers? I have not updated mine in awhile. I'm on 353.62.
Anyways I hope they iron out the issues for you guys.
Also, anyone with AMD GPU and without lag problems what's your driver?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Looks like you all have beast rigs.
Anyways running amd a8 6600k, GTX 750 Ti SC, 8 GB DDR3 ram. I'm experiencing stuttering/frame drops its not like insane amount, but it still is slightly that it kinda is annoying to play. I wanna badly start a myGm but yeah the stuttering is preventing meComment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Got to see NBA2k16 attempt to work on a i7 4790k, gtx 970, 16gig ram system.
After seeing it, I'm convinced nobody at 2k ever loaded/played this game on PC ever during development or they did and didn't care knowing people would buy it and they could patch it later. If flopping was rewarded in real life as it is in the NBA, I’d swerve into guard rails each time someone changed lanes in front of me. - Alan HahnComment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Hi,
As a positive I am experiencing for the most part smooth in-game gameplay with max settings (antialiasing 4/8), supersampling off and unsynced at 144hz with a gysnc monitor (sli enabled or disabled). The only inconsistency is oddly passing through half court and there will be a slight microstutter. It is jarring on broadcast stadium view but greatly mitigated on broadcast generic camera.
However I am getting unusual stuttering during out-of-game cutscenes, quarter recaps and halftime show replays. The stutters feels as if the cutscenes and replays are sped up but being chopped up and spliced. Most of the time the stutter seems to stem from the info overlays during the cutscenes (Player profile, League leaders etc.). Without them the cutscenes start smooth but as the overlays are faded into the scene the stutter begins. For example action replays are butter smooth but when an info overlay cutscene begins the framerate becomes very erratic. It's very disappointing for such an effort emphasized on the NBA broadcast production side of things. Hoping things can be fixed up.

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Was wondering if the game limits you to 60fps cap in online play? It also seems to limit it to 30 during the tip off, timeouts or cut scenes. Anyone know of a way to change it?
I am using a 144hz monitor and have changed the settings but during online game play it drops it down.
This is according to the steam overlay fps display.Comment
