The thing with 2k16 and 17 is if you don't have exactly 60+ fps you will have stuttering. It's not like Battlefield games or GTA 5. I wish there is some fix for that since it's hard for me to get 60 fps on 650 Ti Boost I have to play on 720p and medium even specs say I can run on ultra...
I've managed to get a locked 60fps by lowering the shader quality to high and crowd to medium on my 4670k and gtx780. It's a shame because I could run 2K16 with all on max but I guess the visuals aren't that shockingly different with the shader on high. Perhaps after a patch or two I'll be able to max it...
Dynamic vsync halves the fps in cutscenes, disable it if that's not what you want. It's explained in the video settings file (on mobile atm but check your appdata folder for it iirc).

Yeah I really dislike this about the NBA 2k games. I'd gladly take a few less fps if it means enabling some settings like reflections or a crowd, but if I can't guarantee I can run at a constant 60 throughout the entire game it becomes pretty much unplayable.
I disabled several options, the game runs at 55fps to 60fps, but the stuttering remains at all times of the game. By the same stuttering sound problem also persists.
I do not like playing with the crowd option mediun or low.
Anyone else getting terrible performance after the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update? I was getting 60 fps locked during gameplay before and now it's dipping into the low 40s. What is going on???
Edit:Hmmm, that's odd. It seems to have sorted itself out
So my laptop's an Asus rog GL551JW-DS71, and was wondering if anyone who knows waaaayyyy more about computers than me, can look into how well/best settings for me to run this? I can't get it to run any higher than 1080p, I THOUGHT I'd be able to get 4k
