i see what you're saying, but the thing is, its not necesarilly the amount of polygons in the players that make it look dumb, its the little things

the proportions, just the general way the player models are shaped, don't look too good, and that's not because of a shortage of polygons, etc.

the animations arent even 100% satisfying either, there's still something awkward about them, something that i can't put my finger on, but it bothers me sometimes wheni watch the vids

dunk animations are awesome, but some of the other animations are smooth, but awkward..i duno hard to explain, perhaps its the weird player models performing them or something i'm not sure

polygon count CAN affect the proportions though...think about it....the less you have...the least you have to "mold" the player model...so in some areas of the body may lack...resulting in unrealistic player models.....big heads are just a artist thing though...

The animations appear to be hand drawn, (such as dribbling) as opposed to mo-cap'd. So the animations while smooth, don't look "real." I think this is true of EA football too.

actually...everything is motion captured (for the most part)...what makes the running look so fake is how the ball switches hands when dribbling..the arms are manually animated......the running itself is motion captured

No offense but the arm movement looks so much more realistic than the leg movements. I mean, the walking and running are just not basketball appealing IMHO. The only thing with the dribbling is the speed that the ball changes from hand to hand. It's not that bad. Could use a better graphical upgrade but it doesn't seem to be the bad part. The skating and movement of the lower body kills me....

Heard you the first time. DANG!!.... ...Well,...they just have to pay them bills of course. I'm curious to know what kind of motion capture methods they have out there and what types each respective company used and why. I'm definitely going to see if I can ask that question sometime and probably get it answered. One thing I will say is that I'm a little skeptical on how the defense will flow in 2K6 as well as the offense. I do hate "dumb" computers and that would just ruin the game. I'm definitely waiting for these games to release in great anticipation....

Like I said before, the graphics were crappy before 10 man mocap.

Don't you get it by now: People ignore you on purpose.

Anyway, the graphics are without a doubt, not anywhere near where they should be... but to be honest, at this point, who cares? Next gen is right around the corner....

You are the only one who has ignored me and I don't see why someone would ignore me for stating the truth. The graphics have been terrible and there's no denying that.

I don't see why you are always taking little pot shots at me, you have me on ignore so that should be the end of it. Isn't the purpose of ignore to actually ignore the person's comment? You don't like what I have to say, you put me on ignore, just don't say anything to me. I haven't said anything to you in awhile and unless you say your stupid comments against me like that then I won't aknowledge your existence. Seems simple enough to me

When all you can do is post negative comments in forums of games by EA, you shouldn't expect anything less than to be informed. It was an FYI.

I don't need you to inform me of anything. It's not like what I said was a lie or a scathing comment about ea, it's the truth. I haven't said anything about the gameplay, just the graphics.
