Well they added a bunch of plays which is good, but what differentiates the teams? Will each team use different plays? If each team has an offensive scorer playmaker(like Kobe vs Iverson for example), will each team just run the same plays because it has a "scorer type player". It is still confusing. Each team should have certain plays to use. I understand that some teams could run the same stuff, but its still not team specific unless I am missing something. Steve's Q & A should shed some light hopefully.
Is there evidence of real play sets for each team yet?

Re: Is there evidence of real play sets for each team yet?
Originally posted by tonkatsuactually, looks like they dont. i mean each team doesnt have individual playbooks, instead, all teams have the same playbooks. it just seems that the teams will use the plays which suit their personnel, like the live producer said. but speaking of "individual and unique playbooks" per team,..not this year i guess
however, looks like they have much better plays this year than last, so changing
the offensive strategy/playsets of the cpu will probably be more effective this year. still a hassle though
i guess we need to get more info/vids on how the teams play with their default playbooks..
btw, im liking the defensive strategies! looks like they added more options per strategy, like different options for full court press, etc
think it was called RIP iso??PSN: duFFleBaG_rAn_

initially i thought that each team would have "unique" playsets, that no other team can access. but now that i think of it, i guess its good cos it gives us more flexibility offensively to be able to choose from all the plays in the game.
hopefully the computer uses the right plays for their teams. that, we will have to wait and seeComment

Originally posted by tonkatsuyah i did, what i meant was, looks like all the other teams will have RIP iso as well, just as Detroit has Cavalier, Boston, Rocket fuel, etc..

Re: Is there evidence of real play sets for each team yet?
what was the playbook/fastbreak bug last year? can anyone go indepth on that?
wasnt it involved with changing TEAM STRATEGY, and not playbooks/calls?
As in changing the strategy from SHOOTER A to something else... i think last year, anytime you changed that, for HUMAN or CPU, it messed up fastbreaking. If its in, its allllllllmost a gamekiller for me.

Re: Is there evidence of real play sets for each team yet?
Originally posted by aholbert32It involved changing the team strategy. When you changed it from Dynamic, it affected the way fast breaks could be run. I'm hoping it wont be a problem this year because it is now possible to run fast breaks.?

Originally posted by RubenDouglaswell looking at the screen i posted, that steve screencapped, its set initially at shooter A (i think), so its no longer in that dynamic/generic mode... correct me if im wrong, but maybe the team strategies are already preset?

actually sirjam, I think the playbooks are only HUMAN/user based and have no relivance with the CPU calling "only those 4 plays that are on the digital pad".
Instead, we, the user, have a choice between all those plays to call what we want.
In regards to CPU play, I think it totally depends on the internal AI of the game and its coding. The only "difference" makers are changing around the STRATEGIES of the cpu before game.Comment

Re: Is there evidence of real play sets for each team yet?
Originally posted by sirjamI didn't say anything about the cpu. I was saying that we as users may be able to use a all plays in the playbook option or use team specific playbooks.
it would, of course, be a great small addition. Even a CPU "use team speicific playbook or all plays" optionComment

Originally posted by RubenDouglasahhh. misunderstood ya there. sadly, its never been an option before, kinda doubt it would be in there this year.
