No need for further discussion, sounds like your mind is made up. I just don't get how you spend so much time writing about a game that you obviously have no interest in buying. I would think you would have better thinks to do with your time, such as playing NBA 2K6. I cannot believe how personnal some of you take a video game for gods sake. We get it, you will not be purchasing live.

Did you ever think that maybe I write about games so that, one day, even you will have a better product playing in whatever system is in front of you?

i know that developers all across the industry are sitting at their respective computers reading what you wrote and thinking to themselves, "Thank God for KBomber! If we keep listening to what he says, one day, we'll make even better games!"

I think that the video game industry will progress quite nicely even without you, KBomber.

To both of you, here's what I say. If no one ever voices an opinion nothing will ever get done. You look at the review of NBA Live 2006 from these very boards. Go tell me if the reviewer is saying anything different than what I am

These boards are here to express opinion. I'm exercising that right and quite honestly the things that I've highlighted aren't criticisms that are unique to my viewpoint

If you gentlemen want to just sit back and lap up anything that the various game developers give us, then we will deserve the games we get when they are without art or merit. If we use forums like these to push our opinions back to those selfsame developers, then maybe we do get heard. Even if we don't, is that a better option than just sitting there with your fingers up your respective noses?

Y'know what, the corporate initiatives being applied by EA seek to limit us as a community. Is that really what you want? To me, sites like these need to take on a leadership role in getting the message of we as a community out there. My efforts are in trying to get conversations rolling. If you are a fan of Live, I want you to have the best Live that you can get. I also want the fans of 2K6 to have the best product that they can get. That's why I've participated in boiling down wishlists for VC. On their side of the ball I know that we as customers are being heard. That's why I've been enormously active in trying to get the message out concerning exclusivity and the potential of such initiatives to completely ruin the genre of games that we mutually enjoy

If game developers take us seriously, then they will listen to our concerns. If they are out there listening and we are saying nothing then we guarantee that we will not be heard. Like Wayne Gretzky once said, "You never score on 100% of the shots that you don't take" (Good Canadian boy, that Wayne is...)

If you want to ridicule me for spending my time raising my voice, that's your perogative, but I'll take that over sitting in your chair, poo-pooing anyone trying to make a difference or be heard, so that as a community we can enjoy the benefits of more soundly considered and executed gaming products

Now, there's a thought. It would be good to have a beer or three with you finally...so if it's going to get you on the plane...Live's playbooks are better than 2K5's

Live's play books aren't to the level of ID...but they're not bad IMO. The screen plays are pretty sweet and I like how some teams run screens...but LA gives Kobe getting Iso's etc.

It's a start anyway...I am still reeling from seeing a screen play run in NBA Live after a decade.

It's amazing the amount of people who have defended LIVE over the years with "plays don't matter" and "there are no plays run in the NBA"...

With a fan base like that...it's no wonder they took a decade to add any

I think the problem people are having with the plays are two things. One they don't know that you can click the r stick and see where the play starts. And two they don't know how to run them. I ran a play for KG last night where he went for the alley oop and the game ooped it automatically it was sweet. So then I tried to test it by running the same play but ran to the other direction away from his pick and it didn't get ran, it was a breakdown. So you have to know exactly how to run the play or they will breakdown, very nice touch.

Just seems some of you are on some kinda lame mission to discount Live and anyone who bought it or enjoys it more than NBA 2K6. I have no problem with people posting what they find negative and positive about the game, but some of you were on here before the game even came out, posting your anti Live nonsense.

How about the 20 page thread from the review from IGN?

It appears people were expecting a higher grade and somehow started shooting darts at the reviewer, IGN as a whole, and EA.

I don't speak for Bordeaux, it's just my opinion.

I understand all of what you're saying, bro...even if I don't agree with all of it. IMO, the Superstar moves kill 2 birds with one stone. They allow the casuals another way to cheese until their hearts content, and it allows us Live "simmers" to add beautiful, fluid, real-life flourishes to our game. I solid sim player will only pull those when appropriate, just like the pro hop.

Anyway, after 3 days with both, fans of both franchises should be absolutely giddy with delight with both offerings, considering there are far superior versions of each due out in just 2 short months.

Nah, no hate, if he doesn't like the game and isn't going to buy it then how can anyone really hold what he says in any regard. If someone has purchased the game and wants to post why he is not happy with it then I'm all for that.

There's no doubt you said that, that goes without saying.

It is true that when something negative is said about 2k6, in that forum, such as the IGN review, everything that isn't VC or 2K6 is shot down, including EA, IGN or the reviewer.

It's just a game, it's just one person's opinion. Each game is probably good on it's own merits. Each game probably has it's pro's and con's.

I for one can't call one over the other, because I don't own a console. That would be unfair and biased.
