It's unfortunate that the anti-Madden, anti-EA sentiment is carried over to Live. Live is not Madden. Live is a very good game, adjustable to fit a sim or arcade style. It's a big leap from Live 05, and I for one will give credit where its due. More things, good and bad, will reveal themselves as we continue to play.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

With more playing time, I'm starting to see that there are a lot of differences in the gameplay, but for the advances, the Superstar feature just seems too much of a safety net
When I rated Madden, I think I gave it something in the mid to high sevens. I think this game is in the mid-8 range overall
One thing related to EA, they deserve the grief that they inspire from the gaming community with their corporate initiatives. If they are looking to be the only game in town as they are, they had best assure that their games are well beyond reproach -- a tall order and one I don't think they can fill, honestly
Have fun......................Basketball made me the man I am today; Arthritic and Bitter...
What I think I think:
• Y'know, I've never played less NBA 2K than I did with NBA 2K12
• Sports VG titles were REALLY disappointing in 2011-12
• Thank Heaven for ME3 and Arkham City -- saved my winterComment

I know you're a Live fanboy to the heart. I understand that you're defending your company. I'm asking a question as to how honest the reviews were for those who were playing the game. I haven't read any of them due to me not being online on a constant basis. My decision, just like many others, is a decision that I have from my own experience, but just like any other thing in the world....I like to hear from others. Good reasons to hear about opinions from others: Cars, televisions, computers, gaming, female friends....ect.
As I was posting before: Do you guys honestly feel that the reviews that ya'll have seen have been a correct depiction of what ya'll are playing: score w/review?? Just curious. If I wrote anything flamatory on here, disregard because I'm just excited to be on the internet once again. Point it out if you must. That's you....
I don't take reviews to heart like some of you nor do I need to type a 300-word essay explaining why I dislike a videogame. This board has been through this for years now. Both games are out and I'm sure you've played at least one of them by now. If another's review is still that important to you then it's a shame.Comment

No the game is not bad at all - After tweaking with Playmaker's sliders, the game is more sim oriented. Live plays well and if you liked Live 2005, you'll like '06 as well as Aaron said in his review. I like the fact that you can customize players in this game better than 2K6 (official shoes ruin any chance you have of doing much with shoe edits) and also that you can use alternate jerseys in home games as in real life.
The gameplay is solid with slider edits and the Superstar moves are fun to use and overall, this game is fun to play. I still prefer 2K6, but Live isn't a bad game by any stretchComment

Re: Is this game really that bad????
I have to agree, I got it on Xbox, and edited the sliders, and it plays great on superstar 2v2, and against the computer. I actually had a challenge against the computer because I wasn't hitting everything like some that didn't edit sldiers complained about. The dunking was also toned down a lot, I was getting collision animations and fouls or blocks when attempting dunks, so it's definately quite good.Comment
