Re: New Live 360 Video...
Amazing...EA are absolutely the kings of BS.
Quote: it's a 'Whole new engine'...'built from the ground up'...
Bulllllll Sssshhhhiiii..t it is.
It's the same freaking game...sliding is there, those "bullet" passes Aaron mentioned in his review...the bumping back animations...those stupid 'baseball' passes...
Why tell us its "built from the ground up"...when it's clearly the same engine?
Am I missing something here or is flat out lying just accepted by consumers nowadays?
Graphics are great...and the new cameras look great...
But that's the same old engine...Comment

Nah...they never said the 360 version was new.
EA came out and said "the XB360 version will be a whole new game...built from the ground up".
I think it's pretty clear from the vids it's not.Comment

Re: New Live 360 Video...
That is correct. The VC/T2 team actually said a few months prior to release, that the game was indeed built from the ground up on the Xbox 360, and the rest of the games would just be dumbed down, and ported over in terms of graphics, etc. So they never said it would be a new game for the 360, or that the current gen/next gen would be two entirely different games.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: New Live 360 Video...
Not to take the discussion off topic, so I'll make it quick.
If you guys are saying EA are bs'ing because you can clearly see that Live 360 is not a new engine because of similar animations and skating then why not say the same thing about the 360 version of 2K, which still has many animations from 2K5, the same player models and obviously the same strange air time on the dunks.
Live does look crappy due to the animations in the 360 version not being half as good as the current 2006 one's, but if any game looks like it's been redone for 360, it's Live.Comment

Re: New Live 360 Video...
It's said that the Xbox and PS2 versions of 2k6 is a port of the 360 version which saddens me because the animations aren't that great to begin with. Graphically they're behind Live now, so If I had to choose between both games based off of visuals alone, Live would be my choice. I could live with the animations, for the sliding seems to be toned downa bit.Comment

Re: New Live 360 Video...
Get rid of the skating and this game may just be as good or better than 2k6...IMO it looks better graphically than 2k6Comment
