With the features missing, it shows me that EA did build this game from the ground up. It's important that they fix the gameplay over emphasizing "gimmicks". It would have been nice for a franchise, but that's ok since I will be playing Madden for multiple seasons and this one to just enjoy through a season.

Originally posted by CarryTheWeightIMO, Live isn't worth the 60 bones, neither is 2K6. It seems that one game has things that the other doesn't have. For example, Live has a next-gen "feel" to it, while 2K's doesn't, but then again, 2K has all the features of it's current-gen counterpart and Live falls short there. It's kinda give-and-take, given that both games have their flaws in places.
Honestly, I woudn't recommend buying any basketball game on 360 this year, but if you're dying for a basketball game, make your own decision of what you want more in yours. If you want something pretty, it's Live, but if you want something substantial that'll last you a much longer time and isn't that pretty, take 2K6. It's as simple as that.
EA messed up this go around.....I'm not going to say maybe next year. Because thats just giving them more excuses for me to say it again for 2008. If Live 2007 is jacked up to...All I can say is back to the drawing board. And hopefully as they slip the features back in year after year. They can somehow find out what made us like Live in the first place and implement that back in the game.....And that one camera view thing just isn't going to work for me...I hate that camera angle...Comment

Sorry, it has no substance and gets boring extremely fast. All the videos people have seen are not lies. Yes it has very nice details to the stadiums and the lighting and atmosphere is very good, and thats it. The gameplay before the load screens is nice but thats it. We pumped the speed up to a 100% and its still too slow and just major lagging, on the courts they move like mechanical men. The sweat effect is overrated in Live 360, and the player models aren't really that great, they all look like stuff gloss paper. Or wet dolls. You know those dolls with the big moving eyes, except in Live 360 the eyes don't move. Everyone looks like their faces was plastered on... And you really shouldn't knock 2k6. So far their game, minus the crowds. Is truly next gen. The stadiums look great when your playing the game. So far no video has truly showed the real detail...But playing both games first hand....

Re: Debating the 360 purchase
I don't understand how anyone can buy this game after all that has been taken out of it. I am really just talking about a franchise mode. The replay value for me is gone. The courts and player models are great, but WHY is Live the only game that had to rape everything to get a 360 release? They might as well just waited for next year insteas of becoming a huge next gen disappoitment.Comment

Re: Debating the 360 purchase
As long as I can play a season and control multiple teams, that will actually be enough for me. All I've really used Live for was playing friends in exhibition and mimicking the actual season. I loved the All-Star Weekend, but never got into the dunk contest enough where I was good enough to win it. Like franchise, but never had enough time to really get into one. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: Debating the 360 purchase
no there aren't 20, you have the Live cam, Iso, some motion one...and a few others but not 20. But the one from the videos is the default...if you choose any of the others...it cuts off part of your view and some of the view from seeing your players to make good passes.....
Originally posted by thegreatone0381Not trying to start anything, but if it gets boring so fast why'd you play the game for 3 hours? I'm not sure if I'm picking up either basketball game for 360, I'm going to give both of them an honest shot and see if it's worth $60.
Because I wanted to be fair...and not just knock it for no reason...me and my co-workers were doing it just so we wouldn't be bias. But it does all the damage itself. Just playing it is irritating..
You know I've learned that you really can't encourage people to make decisions, especially when they are too much of a die hard fan. You know what thats your money. Do what you want. Buy it, if you feel like getting ripped off. The opinions in this thread are only to inform you. If the information isn't changing your decisions then it just won't. You are grown and mature enough I hope to spend your money wisely.
MY OPINION HONESTLY: The game is horrible a piece of crap, 1st Madden and Now Live, have proved to me that alot of graphics and no substance makes a game a pure bore. Last time I checked Live had mediocre graphics every year, but the gameplay and options was its strong point. Now it has neither but the graphics are nice, if you like Alien looking clay models shooting hoops it amazing stadiums. Thats you!!! Gameplay wise the game is a dud!!! And with all the options stripped nothing can save it...sorry its not worth $60, but thats my opinion, not bias but honestly....Last edited by Behindshadows; 11-20-2005, 11:55 PM.Comment

Geez, what's with all the !!! ? It's not that serious man, no need to be so defensive. I'm just saying if a game was horrible I'd be hardpressed to play it for 3 hours that's all.Comment
