don't know...I'll look at it again today at the office and let you know all the camera angles...if it does, not sure it will look right. Majority of the players models are huge sometimes and make the courts look too small. but I'll see, we weren't focused on that, most of the time we were just trying to adjust the gameplay and play a few games and quarters to look for glitches. but so far, not so good...

Actually I'm good, thats just the way I type. And I'm not defensive, I could really care less. It doesn't bother me. But when you try to educate people and let them know a few facts, doesn't seem to help their decision making. But honestly the game is a rip off and a piss poor example of next gen. The stadium detail alone couldn't save it from the boring and ridiculously slow gameplay. Its sad, this a quick money grabber, based off the history of Live video games. Seems EA knows people will bite off the name and buy. But when they get home they will be disappointed, but they have their money now. So they could care less.

We played it 3 hours if that, because we didn't want to make rushed judgements like I stated before. Who can play a game 5 minutes and honestly say its bad no one. So we spent more time with it, to be sure our judgements were accurate.

How are the jumpshot animations, it looks like the players are shooting the ball on way down in the videos. Also can you tell me if there is a good press camera angle. What is the best angle?

      thanks

        Shadows,

Could you confirm whether you can control multiple teams or just one in season mode? I've heard different things. Thanks.

Yeah I agree with the quick money grabber. They did the same thing when the PS2 came out. Live 01 was HORRIBLE.

I can only stomach so much of a game that sounds that bad though. I'm sure the reviewer over at IGN didn't spend that much time with it. Anyways, what are the cutoff dates for the rosters?

            Re: Debating the 360 purchase

I'm scratching my head because many complained that LIve was too fast in previous versions and that EA added feautures like Free-Style Super Stars and Dunk Contest that made the game play too arcade for them.

They argued that instead of a Dunk Contest EA should gave focused on gameplay more along the SIM lines in their previous Live. Now, EA takes out the Dunk Contest concentrates more on actual gameplay remove the Free Style Super Stars that guy's claim they could abuse the game with and they get ripped.....

Personally, I hate the fact that EA slowed down gamespeed if they did this and I hate the fact that EA left out Free Style Super-Stars simply because the only way it was being abused was by guy's who lookewd to abuse the feature in gameplay.

Either way they did what many people wanted slower gamespeed, remove Super Stars and concentrate on actual gameplay and it's caused a major gripe for those who loved Live for what it was on the current Gen. It had it's own identity on previous Lives and now from what I'm reading it looks like it's trying to change it's ways into something else.

I think what the main gripe is, at least from my perspective, is that they're only halfway-changed into something else. Those that loved Live for what it was are disappointed since it's not the same Live that they're used to. Those who wanted the more sim-oriented Live aren't getting exactly what they want from this change either since it seems that the gameplay isn't as in depth or innovative as the competition.

The graphics and atmosphere look outstanding though. I'm going to have to play this one for myself on the Xbox Live Demo, I advise everyone to do the same, before completely writing it off. I don't think I'll be picking up any next-gen NBA titles this year unless I'm completely wowed. This is all just my opinion though.

                Re: Debating the 360 purchase

I have NBA2k6 for Xbox, and am heading to Walmart to get the 360 and 2k6 for it as well. I've been playing the 2k series since NBA2k1. And I love this basketball series to death.

Just to prove I'm no fan boy. I enjoy the EA football games more than the 2k football games. The EA football games play more life-like. And that's the same reason I buy the 2k basketball games, over the EA basketball games.

                Hope this helps you out.

seriuosly, the fact that they are doing things like that makes me HATE EA

buying live 2001 for ps2 is one of the reasons why i probably am biased against EA, cause its obvious they're juust doing this crap for money, i mean, at least make it a little more subtle, since we all know they're both doing it for money, but with EA its like blatantly raping us

its frustrating that they do that junk and that fact alone makes me not want to buy ANY EA games, and its why i continue to turn a blind eye to them every time a new live comes out

im just glad that there are alternatives to live

                    Re: Debating the 360 purchase

Too answer all the questions...I just played live in 1080i, at top speed...its toooooooooooooo slow enough said....Jump shots are stupid and ridiculous and animated poorly. Next up answer to another question. only 1 team can be chosen for a season...just one...not multiple.

                    Next up...only 4 camera views...yes 4 enough said.

Live is a rip off I'll leave it at that. The way the stadiums look on the videos are different in person, not to mention during actual gameplay the crowds are completely blurred dots....and it looks stupid and sad. Player models look like good molded clay, but sweat continously for no reason its unrealistic...thats my final amount of info...Good day people...no more questions...

Game is lame and not worth the money.
