Like I said, the customization is what helps. Makes no sense to see a scrub throwing dimes like Kidd, and Reuben patterson power dunking over centers like he's Shaq

I just dont know what the big difference is in presentation when it comes to NBA games yet no one complains about 2k's presentation.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Originally posted by aholbert32Its starting to look like I'm the only one still excited about this game. There were a ton of small things I read about in this interview that im excited about. The new commentary, momentum, the fact that Marv Albert will call out created player's names this year, the new ratings.
I know there are a lot of people that dislike EA Sports. Some of it may be deserved but with the outstanding NCAA 07 360 effort, what looks to be a solid Madden 360, NHL 360, and Fifa 360...EA seems to have a solid framework for all of its major next generation sports titles.Comment

Re: IGN's New Interview
Two things that caught my eye...
Players will now follow the laws of momentum... THANK GOD!!!
73 Player Ratings... Now the players will represent their true self... there should always be a push to expand the rating system.
I am prolly gonna re-create my All-time CPU created allstars that I have drafted over the years in NBA Live, and really have them represented.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Originally posted by jmood88Tmac, nor anyone else has ever done an eyes closed dunk in a game. There is nothing wrong with the vince carter thing since it's not that spectacular but having dunk contest moves in a game will annoy people. I don't have a problem with some of the moves but with the way people complain about players doing moves that they can't I could see people getting mad about that.Comment

EA is making something we see happen in games. Top tier players make exciting moves when momentum is high in games.
In 2K,well, show me what Kobe can do, and I'll match it with JJRedskins Fan. The 82 Smurfs will never die. 83/88/92 NFL world champions!!

Originally posted by aholbert32My bad. I overlooked that key player of the half segment but is that really a huge difference. I mean that segment is nothing like what the NFL series had. I mean is 3 replays of the best player in the game the difference between what you call good and bad presentation?Redskins Fan. The 82 Smurfs will never die. 83/88/92 NFL world champions!!

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, there shouldnt be a need to constantly switch between the roles, LeBron is all of those things at once, not just one at a given time.Comment

Re: IGN's New Interview
Originally posted by aholbert32As for ratings, it was time to nearly triple the detail and depth of our ratings system from 25 to 73 individual player ratings. This allows us to measure and control player abilities and tendencies to a level never seen before in a basketball video game. If 73 ratings sound too overwhelming, we also offer the all-new star shape graphic for a quick graphical representation of player ability and still naturally provide an overall rating..Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Re: IGN's New Interview
I'd love to see players react like they did in ID here as well. Running off of screens for mid range J's, guards like J Kidd posting up smaller pg's, taking full advantage of mismatches.
73 ratings sound insane, but for once, I wish they would explain what they do.Comment

Originally posted by EZ SnappinFYI: Jamaal Magloire repeatedly did eyes closed and hand in front of his face one-handed dunks last year. He looked incredibly stupid when he would get a rebound from the weakside and go up like that, but he did it multiple times in different games. Wasn't a dunk contest thing of beauty, but a soft, wimpy Magloire dunk.Comment
