You dont have to buy it, but I will and I'll be enjoying it.
I never said that it was never done in games, what I said is that the dunks in the dunk contest are much more difficult than the ones in games. I never said that I have to buy it, I'm discussing the game.

Honestly I was holding off on Graphics and anitmations until I could see some gameplay footage.... but purely basing it off of the presentation and the use of the ESPN license it pisses me off that EA focuses thier energy on crap no one cares about.

Point blank I would rather them not use the ESPN stuff at all if the only thing they could come up with was this bull. EA seems to have just given up in the presentation department.

Well people think it's different when you talk about "pirate planks"(which was hyperbole anyway) and the calves of a player than when you talk about gameplay problems.

I swear you guys are way to caught up on the ESPN deal. Just because they dont use the ESPN stuff in game doesnt mean they have bad presentation. This interview talked about new commentary and a new halftime segment. Isnt that presentation?

I'll have to see it before I believe it. Ea has shown that they don't have much talent on the presentation front. Either that or they just don't care.

The only thing is, we haven't seen many gameplay videos yet.

When a screenshot pic is put up, thats what the discussion is about.

Gameplay wise, both games have issues, and 2k games always have far more bugs. Let alone their dunks not being situational one iota.

The things mentioned in this interview sound nothing like a game ruining feature. As opposed to Everyone including earl boykins doing shaq's power dunk

                Re: IGN's New Interview

At least I know 2k is remotely listening to us... they have people representing thier product in the forums all the time. I have yet to see a EA person out right come in here and answer questions explain reasons for the direction EA is taking thier piss poor presentation in all thier sports games. I just want them to know that gamers dont want this crap... we want EA to attempt to fool us into believing we are watching a TV broadcast.

See saying stuff like that is why people don't like when you complain about things. Earl Boykins has never done a dunk like that in 2k6 but people like you bring up examples like that when they aren't true and then wonder why people don't like when they say something.

Dont get me wrong... I am not saying I know for sure that the EA will drop the ball again, but sometimes I wish 2k sports never existed because I could be satisfied with EA's attempts because I would no idea of how much the envelope could be pushed.

If the shoe fits wear it. Players who shouldnt even dunk can do Shaq's turnaround dunk which is unstoppable.

I spanked a VC employee online with Jimmy Jackson who was doing shaq's dunks , and just dunking on him driving to the hole. Things as such should never be in the game.

Yeah they shouldn't but saying rediciulous things like earl boykins can do his dunks makes people think that you don't even play the game.

THANK YOU I've being saying that for a month. I AM intrigued by this game tho. However I've not heard a lick about defensive improvements and whether or not P v P is will maintain the integrity of single player.

How much more has it been pushed? I'm talking about the NBA games. Ive never seen a halftime or pregame show in the 2K or Live series. I would say both of them are on par with each other when it comes to commentary. Live 07 will have instant replays so they are equal on that front. I just dont know what the big difference is in presentation when it comes to NBA games yet no one complains about 2k's presentation.

I guess it's a way of giving the user more control but I don't like the whole idea behind Freestlyle Superstar. With all the new ratings, I hope there are fadeaway shot ratings and fadeaway tendency. I'd rather have stuff like this in the game than Freestyle Shooter or Freestyle Playmaker. Every player in the NBA can make a behind the back pass. Ratings and tendencies should be the ways in which players are given individualization.

I dont care what people think. You can ask that VC employee why Jimmy Jackson was playing like ORL Penny Hardaway on him

EA is making something we see happen in games. Top tier players make exciting moves when momentum is high in games.

In 2K,well, show me what Kobe can do, and I'll match it with JJ
