Re: IGN's New Interview
Again, the ESPN integration is iffy. According to EA, ESPN integration means making ESPN.com accessible from my console. Why would I want to navigate through ESPN.com using my console's interface, when I can get the same thing using a mouse and a web browser, which is easier for me to use?
We want ESPN as a part of the videogame so it seems like the virtual basketball world is real, not so we have a new method to look at ESPN.com. Maybe some day, they'll change their thinking . . . maybe."We were expecting a miracle with Elite, but instead we got Jesus at halfcourt."

Re: IGN's New Interview
player emotion in screenshots? = zero.
non the less, the feature base and new stuff alone throws out the lack of emotion and still makes me wanna try this out.
espn 20 minute updates? whos gonna use that? It updates and gives you the info WHEREVER you are in the game? If I cared about realworld crap i Would be watching and doing that. Im playing a video game here.
its definetly a flawed feature imo. it doe nothing for those without xbox live.. what about some real ingame intergration?Last edited by RubenDouglas; 08-14-2006, 09:02 PM.Comment

Re: IGN's New Interview
I must say the screens are not too impressive. I actually thought it was current gen in some of them. Nonetheless last year I swiftly turned from the Live series to 2K. But this year it seems Live is taking it seriously. But I won't buy into the hype, I want to see gameplay videos.Comment

"By rewriting the entire AI for 07, we've laid down a brand new foundation designed to be the premier NBA simulation. This line of thinking extends to nearly every facet of the game,"
Maybe this is the problem.....they always "rewrite" the entire AI every season. They have to stop scrapping the game every year any starting from scratch and start building and adding to it every year instead.Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: IGN's New Interview
Originally posted by rebe1Really not feeling the player models. VC does not look like VC. Some player's leg proportions look out of whack. And like an earlier poster said, no emotion. Anyways, that's graphics, I hope the important part, the gameplay, will be good.
This is the funny stuff I was talking about when noone even mentions 2K's players all looking like tanks and they get a pass. When Live's models are out of wack they get called for it.
I have issues with the player models bodies in Live and have for years, but its time to call it on both ends.
In this case in particular, Vince looks like someone else, and tony parkers tricep is flexed, which should only be that tense when the arm is extended, not bent. Thats when your biceps flex. What is EA thinking about.
As far as legs, at least they have a variety of shapes, but nevertheless, they are still off, and as far as 2k's legs, they all look fluffy, untoned, and everyone has the same type.Comment
