I've watched the video several times now to see what your saying, but honestly I think the animations are fine. The transitions from move to move seem pretty smooth. At the end he smoothly spun back and then took 2 steps and rose up and dunked it. In old games, you would see the feet sliding around b/c the dunk animation took over.
BTW, I'm not sure if you were referring to me when you ask if we're a bunch of children in love ea, but I assure you I'm not. The only basketball game that I have is NBA 2k7. I haven't bought Live since 2005. You really shouldn't go around criticizing people just because we don't agree with you on that Davis play being 'unrealistic'.My NBA Teams:

So its really you hate EA and not really about the animations...Grow up man...I provided you with proof that Baron Davis can go p and over a 6"9 - 6"11 PF and dunk.
The animations look fine...But I do agree...before you pass judgment wait to see the gameplay...But since we only have the videos of animations its my opinion that they look pretty darn good and much improved from last year. 60 fps should make a nice differenceComment

My problem with the vids is how they choose to show off the moves. It always seems to be on a really low level where the defensive A.I. is extremely poor. The offensive moves are diminished because its coming against a bunch of zombies. The Davis dunk looks bad because of Cassell's ridiculous non effort. He should have tried to reach or body him or something, not just float back and get banged on.Jordan Mychal Lemos

And that would have made it look even worse what could Sam really have done there in real life I'm sure he would do the same thing. You have no choice but to just float back on plays like that when a dunker is coming at you, Tayshaun running away from LeBron in Game 5 anybody! With all that said it looked good and I think Live 07 was the worse sim BB game I ever played since NBA 2night on the DreamCast.I kno so much about the NBA I should work 4 ESPN!!!!

Live looks good this year, period, end of story. If you can't see that then your either one of two things.....#1 a strict 2K fan boy who wouldn't dare acknowledge another game as being good, or #2 an EA ***** who wouldn't recognize a good game if it slapped you in the face. When Live is released each gamer will decide if it is, or isn't good.
Get off the "crappy animtation" arguement. Your taking one to two plays from a trailer and tearing them apart? I'm a fan of BASKETBALL games, and have an alleigiance to NEITHER game, I've bought both games every year for 4 years now. After playing NBA 2k, I wouldn't know where to start with that game and awkward animations. Just like I wouldnt know where to start with the problems I have with Live. Both games have their strong points and weak points. I love how people find a couple things wrong with a TRAILER and feel the need to start ripping the game. Save your gripes and analyizations for when the game actually comes out and you have played it.Comment

Please get off that tip this is not the EA forums or wherever you came from.
The complaint is a legitmate one in that Cassell looked to be pushed backwards be a invisible barrier, something that even happens in 2k. and yes some of the animations are crappy.
Get off your little white horse and take the rose colored glasses off, its okay to point out flaws in video games, thats how they get better.
that being said this does "look" better then live 07 easily.
But the A.I was VERY VERY poor based on the demos ive seen.

If Quickstrike is anything like NBA Street:HC it sounds fun.
For those that have not played street. You have TONS of control of what you want to do with the ball. I just heard that Quickstrike was a bite off of what NBA Street has done.
I just hope that when you try to do this with guys like Shaq bad things happen.Comment

First off, I'm not from the EA Forum, so drop that. You don't need to come at me with all that hostility. Second, just because I have an opinion on someone pre judging one or two things they saw on a TRAILER (not a demo) doesn't mean I'm riding a "White horse" or wearing "Rose colored glasses". Nice examples though. The point I'm making is that its pointless to begin forming opinions and getting all worked up over them, based on a TRAILER. You blew this way out of proportion. Wait until the the game is actually released and then start griping about it. Every game will have awkward animations, and 2K is no different. I know that for a fact, as (incase you missed it) I buy both 2K and Live every year. Both games have their positives and negatives. To get all up in arms over a bad animation you saw on a trailer of the game is ridiculous and a little overboard. To even think that a video game will not have those things, is asking for to much.
Aside from that, I'm sure this was not the intention of this topic. I think the quick strike feature looks great. It's not a "bite" off of isomotion either. 2K got the ideo of isomotion from Lives "freestyle" a few years ago in the first place. Both games need to "borrow" from each other in order to progress and stay competitive. Based on what I've seen from all trailers, the game is looking alot better than any other version we've seen in a while. Having said that, I'm looking forward to this years edition.Comment

I personally think this video was crap. It wasn't gameplay, tired of the bs trailers.
Also I'm still not liking those player models and jersey motions...they look bad, really bad....
the gameplay video previously shown before E3 looked good. but this video looks bad to average..not good though.Comment
