I'm a big 2k fan and I really need to give the edge to 2k on the flow (based on 07) and if 08 improves on that as it appears I may get that again... BUT... this LIVE demo definitely has me intrigued.

I like it a lot and it will be a tough choice for me at least until I get a 2k demo.

this version of LIVE is a nice change of pace and does a lot of things well (better than before) the main gripe I have is not having more D mapped to the right stick. I don't need "take a charge" on the Rt stick, I need intercept the pass lanes on the right stick or steal. Also don't like that the steal animation makes a very feeble (or no) attempt at intercepting/interrupting the passing lanes.

Nope. It was enough to make me not want to buy it. or even rent it.

I'm with you homie! Thr dribbling animations look and feel pretty good, but I guess I'm just use to the right stick being the shot stick on 2K. I keep hearing about a dunkfest...I have at least 8 dunks with LBJ per game on the new demo. On either game, if you know how to work that stick, you can get to the hole people. No slider can stop a truly good player from getting to the rack.

Can't wait for 2K8!

The demo is good, but i hate the quickstrike ballhandling. It doesnt take me where i want to go. it sucks. everything else is pretty solid. Graphics are really good. But WTF is up with only being able to play 1 player at a time. ****ing EA wont even let us play 2players, after last years debacle they should give us the game for free. bastards.

I'll check it out on GameFly because I'm a basketball junkie and want to see how much the game has actually improved. But based o nthe demo, I definitely wouldn't buy the game. It looks like it will be a decent game and a nice change of pace from 2K. I'll still accidentally do layups from the 3pt line, but that's Live for ya...

Gamestop's offering an extra 30 percent trade-in credit towards Live and my copy will be reserved in the morning

2k7 is the best pro hoops title I've ever played, but the demo just feels right to me. It really sold me on this title

to the OP, almost.

I liked the demo a lot the second time around. Still are some things I'd like to see before I choose Live over 2k8, but all in all, Live 08 will be a decent game and it's clear the Live team is taking many steps in the right direction considering where the game was last year.

I'm buying it.

And I'm only buying it because of the demo.

Last year, alot of people said that the game was good and without playing it, I knew it wasn't.

If they didn't release a demo for 2008, there would be no way in hell I'd even contemplate buying it.

The demo convinced me.

Now I'm just waiting on 2K's demo so I can make my decision on whether to get 2K8 or not.

Nope...Judging from the demo, the gameplay in Live'08 isn't even on par with what the competition was offering last year...And since I'm not the type to buy two B-Ball games, I'll be passing on Live'08.

I like the demo, but not enough to throw down 60 bucks on a third b-ball game. 2k and C-hoops will do me just fine.

Maybe next year, Live.

I really like the FIBA option, playing as Spain was cool.

Imagine if FIBA was for 2k, wow that would be amazing.
