I love the demo, and will be buying this game. Just love the right stick for crossover moves.

Nope. I'll be sticking with 2k. I do like some things I saw, though. I think the overall graphics are better than 2k. There's something slightly more satifying about the way the ball goes through the net on a jumper in Live, too. The net (and the hoop in general) look and react a little more realistically it seems than in 2k.

Looks good but the animations and gameplay still aren't up to 2k's level. Since I only need 1 game, I'll go with 2k.

No, there are still many issues leftover from last year. They've made quite an improvement from that horrendous excuse for a basketball game.

Despite the fact that it's a demo, it seems as if the polish won't be there in the final build as well. I can't wait until it drops in price though.

I agree. but will give NBA live 08 a shot over 2k until i can play a 2k8 demo...

didnt like the demo and havent seen enough improvements to warrant a purchase. Animations and players builds arent that great. love the atmosphere and commentary, but not enough for me to switch over from 2k

As for me, the Live demo is not enough for me to purchase it. Unless, it makes a monumental leap from now until the actual release date.

I'm getting Live because it plays a decent game of basketball. The graphics are great and the gameplay is better than average IMO. Still gonna get 2k8 since that game is the closest thing to real NBA basketball.

I think I've decided to buy it based on the demo thus far. But, I'll be in no hurry. Will play 2k8 for a good while and probably college hoops. Then buy live between baseball and football season when Im having basketball itch. By then it'll be cheap and I will have heard every possible thing wrong with it here.

AH! Did i just read this?! From what I've seen(and played in the live demo) EA is way behind NBA08 and 2k8 in net animations. With NBA 08 looking the best.

Right now Live is a rental. It has nothing on the best bb series in the business, College Hoops and is still far behind its main competitor, NBA2k. I think I've bought/received both of these games since 2k3. Live hasn't been competitive enough for me since like 2004.
