From readin ure article your dislikes were some of the major problems from back in live 08....that's not good
from your talks with them, how determined and serious were they about making changes in time for release??

Most of the issues still could be addressed in the (close to) month and half of time that was left. That was the point of having the community day early: To ask for input in changes that the game would need to be improved for this year.

Only time will tell I guess. I'm going to be optimistic since some of the issues could be addressable via sliders.

i love 2k because its a real b-ball sim...but its ps2 graphics get on my nerves after awhile...and when it comes down to it, its just not as fun to play as live

Could you tell the superstars from stars,from the average and lower tier nba players, and vice versa.....as far as talent/moves/ability..etc???
last year, almost everyone, except a hand full of players had the were the same..

The star players had the go-to moves. I can't tell you if the CPU utilized them b/c we didn't play the CPU.

Star players were more effective. As a who, the post game was a bit too dominant go guys like D. Howard and Shaq were more difficult to stop. If they even it out a bit it should level off well. They weren't far off in the build I played.

1. Are Adjusted Shots back in the game? For example, when you go up for a layup, can you press the layup button again in mid-air to adjust your shot (think: Live 2005)? True branching would allow us to do this.

2. Are rebounding taps back in the game? When the shot bounces on the rim, can you tap the ball up (Live 2005)?

3. Are there on-the-fly substitutions?

If I can remember I think they said something about that each team has their special plays that they run (Like Lakers with the triangle offense) Can you give me more info on that? Thanks

There are player specific plays that you call in the game. They are team specific and highlight certain players in the game. There are 8 plays you can call.

I'm assuming in a CPU game they will call these plays to focus on specific players. There are different options within the play you can go to when trying to score. These Signature plays are based off of realistic playsets, so they should work in the way you are asking.

My main issue is how this would work in dynasty when players get traded b/w teams and when stars are on the bench.

-In live 09 did they get rid of all the old shoes from previous years

-In live 09 did they add a little more to the jumbotron and the ribbon board, rather than just the players name or that blue and red EAsports logo, because its been the same ever since live 06 and I feel that doing something different like adding more colors or (American flag, Go Team Go etc.) would make the arena feel much more complete...much like how NHL 08/NBA 2K8 is.

Hey man thanks for the info sorry if this questions has been posted.

I know you played human vs human but did you notice any difference between the teams? Fast breaking teams with faster tempo, half court teams playing slower etc

Hard to judge i know but i'm talking about what the cpu teamates were doing, not so much the other human controlled players.

Any playcalling going on? Any word on diagrams on the floor ala 2k8?

Play-call diagrams came straight from Live...were they not in 08? I didn't play it (for good reason).

Are there blocks in the game where the shots are pinned against the glass or are they all swat or straight up blocks?

As far as the new ballhandling mechanism is concerned, do different players handle the ball differently? Like can you tell the difference between McGrady and Kobe?

How editable are the players?

For the pick-and-roll control can you control whether the man setting the pick rolls to the basket or whether he pops out for a catch-and-shoot?

Do you know anything about the draft in Dynasty mode?
