In 2k games, it feels like the players have mass and it feels like you're controlling a real player, while Live feels like you're guiding a stickman - players feel weightless and move awkwardly. I just wanna know if you guys are working on that?

I hope you know what I mean. Thanx.
Yes, this was a big focus for us this year. It'll be touched upon in one of the blogs.

I also wanted to know how you program something like the "feel" and the "weight" of players. Its just a ffeling that you get while playing. IM really curious.

Btw: I love the post game in Live (offense).

Figure it's better here than the other topic...

Why can't sliders be applied online and agreed to by both players? I don't play online,I'm just curious. That way if people want to play arcade they can and people that want sim can have it too.

Agreed. There REALLY needs to be a "custom lobby" kind of thing where you can set any and all game settings (including sliders, penalty settings, rules, etc.) for a human vs. human game. I'm not thinking even in terms of "sim vs. arcade", just a place where you can set whatever parameters you want (being able to use custom/franchise teams, CAPs, etc. would be great as well) and play a game with someone else. Host sets everything then sends a private invite...

I've been clamoring for this for years since all of the NBA games don't have an even nearly accurate amount of foul calls... That was my biggest complaint, but being able to have custom sliders and everything else would be great. Turning off shot clock, etc. is nice for practice and labbing as well (you can practice post moves without 3 second violations).

Yeah that would be cool if they expanded on their academy. Have it where you and your friends could be in the nuetral practice gym. Maybe run a full court team-up game in the practice gym. Or jus be able to work on post moves, shooting, and dribble moves with other gamers from all over. You could play in a private virtaul gym with friends or be in a public gym. You may see someone doing a move you have been dying to learn how to do and that could be the opportunity to learn.
Yeah so in summation I don't know who you racing I'm already at the finish line with the flag waving, c'mon!

haven't posted in here before, but have been playing nba 2k8 for a while.. didn't like live last year (only played on a ps3) and 2k9 was, really bad,(and everyone Andy knows feels the same way) so the Live game has a chance to make a huge jump and pull in new customers, good luck..

Andy's question would have to be, what are the dev's major focus on the game this year? (example, Madden trying to return to sim)

                  thanks in advance

Is dynamic attendance in the game because not all teams sell out. I know that the sixers don't and a lot of other teams don't.

The NBA isn't a big fan of that, neither are the NFL, MLB, etc.... they think it doesn't reflect well on teams to have sagging attendance, even in videogame form. Don't hold your breath for this in any sports games. The last time I remember it was old Madden games where the crowd would clear out in the 4th quarter of blowouts, but even that is frowned-upon these days.

Marcus, any idea when Live community day will be? And whose *** should I be kissing to get an invite?

I agree that there should be dynamic attendance. It doesn't have to be team specific, they could just make it specific to the current game situation so that any team can have a sellout. Didn't Live 04 or 05 have this as well?

I hope they talked with the NBA and see if they could at least make it an option so by default it's up to the NBA standard of imaginary land where every game is a sellout and nobody leaves and then reality where the joint is empty for squads with historically low attendance and crowds emptying out when said squads are getting destroyed.

I would think that as long as it's not team-specific and just happens as a result of blowout games, it wouldn't be a problem... but as far as I know, they were hesitant about that as well.

But for sure anything that makes it appear as if certain teams have lagging attendance would get shot down because they don't want to make the team (or the NBA) look bad.

                              I have a simple question:

Is Live 2010 going to have more than 1 user franchise, fantasy draft, or an import draft class option?

                              Thanks in advance.
Funny. I was wondering the exact same thing.

Forget all the other stuff. CAN YALL ANSWER THIS PLEASE?

I'm not sure what Live it was, maybe 03 or 04, but when trades were made or things happened, I believed they showed a player or coach in the lockeroom showing emotion. My question is, why fix something that's not broke? That made the game seem so realistic. Are we going to get something similar in Live 10? Please don't say "we're working on something that make the game realistic" or any other company line. I just want to know are we going to see a cutscene of that sort. Not writing or a message or anything, but visual player/coach emotion over a transaction.
