    Ask The Developers a Question

This is a thread to ask the devs a question and chat and interact with them and eachother...

All unwarranted posts about the other game will be infracted, and 2 infractions equals the cell and loss of access to this forum for a month.

Please keep it on topic guys, we dont need the arguing and carrying on in here.

    Thanks 23!

I'm going to turn this thread around with a question to you guys!

What did you guys think of 2K's info today?

Be honest, I can take it

How up to date will the FIBA rosters be? For example, will Steve Nash be on the Canadian team again?

FIBA rosters will be as up to date as FIBA lets us be

I like the fact that they finally fixed the players size on the court, everything else was good i know when it comes to animation there gonna bring it so the 9,000 animations wasn't a shock. IMHO I think live 10 and 2k 10 in the long run will either be equal, or live might be 1 step behind simply beacuse live has more holes to fix the 2k.

            Good one.

BTW guys, I'm asking this from a feedback perspective and don't wish for a flame war here. Mods, you may have to keep a close eye on this one, but if you don't think this question is appropriate, no worries on deleting my question.

We're never done with the game

There's always things we want to add.... That's the downfall of making sports games

Ill monitor and even chime in... its the flame bait posts and vs posts and off the wall fanboy posts that arent being tolerated.

For the most part this really is a question/answer thread.

I thought that 2k is an upgrade from last year. I thought they just polished what they had a year ago. Adding more animations and taking the bad ones out, better tendancies, improved commentary, and great career mode. I don't think they had to do much but really just touch up some things. If live steps up this year then I believe well have two great games.
Yeah so in summation I don't know who you racing I'm already at the finish line with the flag waving, c'mon!

I think they didnt tell us all but they're trying to put the smackdown on you

Definitley plan on NOT losing the animation war

They seem to have made attempts to respond to DNA and Be A Pro

They added some meaningful mini games like trying to make a team, the D league.... worked on commentary as best they could, and addressed some gameplay flaws, not sure how hugely successful yet... as gameplay is always subjective

Now they dont seem like they plan on going down this year or any other, and frankly that was alot of info to try to top in one blog this week

Was wondering, have you guys done anything to reduce the effectiveness of the pick and roll, specifically by user controlled teams?

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of having it mapped to one of the buttons (as opposed to being a 'quick strategy play that requires two button presses). It's just that it felt like a money play, as though the screener was magnetically attracted to the guy.

I'll let Mike speak to this, but definitely not a money play this year
