Re: What control options has you the most excited?
Easily the pass controls. I'm just having dreams about driving around a pick and pulling up for the shot only to see my PF free under the basket and I just flick the stick in his direction he gets a wide open dunk. CrazyComment

Definitely shot control. I was very impressed with the "Shooting the Rock" video. Spin and shoot moves looked so fluid without hesitation or hiccups. Having only one shoot button is also a major plus. Can't wait for the demo so I can try other shots that weren't in the video.Comment

All of them really... One thing that I always said about some of MJ's highlights is that it wasnt just the shot or dunk always that made it exciting.
It was the play that led up to that highlight, the situations that were created, and the improvision, the pass, the defense, the mistake on the D where he didnt beat his man to the spot even though he knew what he was going to do.
If we have relentless AI and a game that allows YOU to create situations moreso than canimation creating it for you, then down the line its going to be great because then you'll always be in position to make something different happen each timeComment

1. Shooting. I have been waiting for this forever. The stars will have variations of shots. Runners, stepbacks, hop jumpers, and 1,2 pull ups. Thats just insane. Finally Kobe can play like Kobe because of this.
2. Passing and Dribbling (Tie). Dribbling may claim this position for me if I can do the things I think ill be able to do in terms of chaining moves together. It should be fun as hell trying to beat your man.
Passing looks extremely fun. Not sure how often ill use the off ball controls though. But Id say ill use freestyle passing all the time once i get used to it.
Authentic playbooks are good too. The true triangle offense? Running that will be flat out insane. And seeing the CPU run real life plays for their stars.
Its all about the controls for me which is why I am so hyped for this game. The user will finally be in control. As long as there are a decent amount of animations and they look good for the most part, Ill be in love. No doubt.PSN: rose2kobe24Comment

Guys after playing live 10 and going back through my game library. It is the combination of all these controls that make the game so much fun to play. there has never been a game that uses size up moves where you flow so seemlessly between the size up and the other moves available. control control control. wait till you get the demo and you go left right on the right stick and its almost instantaneous. it feels soo good to be in control and not be limited. both games last year were terrible in that regard in comparison to live 10.
the other thing I love about live 10 is i was competitive from the first tip off without knowing any of the controls... if you know basketball you can play basketball with the limited control and still be effective. this is what B meant by layered controls.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Ahhh, 2 days... so very excited. I've been trying not to think about it and just be surprised when I flip on my 360 and see the demo showing. No dice.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: What control options has you the most excited?
Im just starting to see that its the controls that mean alot to my gaming. I hate those situations where I get by a guy or do a move and you can see the result coming and it doesnt happen because of some canned crap or because of an awkward animation that kills the pinnacle of the situation.
Im talking Live 09 here though. As much control as it had, there were still improvements needed between the controls and contextual animations which they have seemed to address and I am glad about it.
I remember MJ taking his man from the right wing dribbling with the left hand... help defense collapses.. the defender meets him at his spot as he does a spin move... but as MJ jumps and the defender steps in they make contact but MJ does a scoop layup in perfect sequence... man I cannot wait til something like this is possible..and we might be close

Re: What control options has you the most excited?
I'm just thinking of all the potential for spectacular plays as well as just fundamentally-sound ones. The freestyle passing adds a lot of potential for the former and the tendencies/Synergy/authentic sets add a lot to the latter. Being able to move accurately with LS while being able to break out of any move/size-up is a huge thing for me... I just can't enjoy a game if it feels like I'm constantly being pulled this way or the other by animations rather than by my own volition.
The shot stick supposedly decided which side you finished on, but it was so spotty (much improved in that sense for the Combine though) and this new Live control scheme seems to add a lot to the idea. The Euro Step options are awesome... the best part though is that they didn't have to waste the RS on that control and were able to consolidate it to essentially 2 buttons (the LS and X).Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: What control options has you the most excited?
The amount of control options in Live should be great this year.
If its a good as everyone says it its going to make pulling off highlight reel like plays even more fun to see.
Just for the simple fact that it wasn't just an animation you saw.
It was you that orchestrated the whole sequence from start to finish.
You read the defender and broke him off the dribble.
You drove the lane and saw the help defender coming so you made the proper adjustments needed to get your shot off in traffic.
It'll be interesting to see if Live really captured this type of control and also whether or not 2K10 can match it if it does.Comment
