I'm a 2K guy but willing to give Live a try once Beluba had a good year to work on the game. But after playing the demo the answer is a hell no. That being said, I am also waiting for the 2K demo as 2K9 was a disappointment to me.

NBA Season starts around the end of October. Sure they start having training camps and stuff but that's the problem with all sports games they release it about a full month before the actual season starts.

Hell if someone told me that NCAA 10 or Madden 10 was being delayed another 2-3 weeks to get everything in for the retail version I wouldn't bitch or complain.

But then again look at March Madness/NCAA Basketball....they actually didn't release that game two years ago until January and it still sucked. They released it earlier last year and still no major difference. The animations were poor and the AI was awful.

So, honestly it doesn't matter to me when they release the game just release it knowing that you gave it a 95-100% walkthrough and tested just about every thing.

Right now we are seeing patches that are adding things IMO that should be in the retail version once it drops NO EXCUSES plain and simple.

I'm just waiting on one of these games to actually ship out a product without a ball to play with one year..............

Imagine that a football or basketball game being shipped and they forgot to include the damn ball and tell you a patch is in the works.

In my ideal world they wouldn't release a new NBA game each year. They would release a new game every other year, same with all sports games

Yup. Hands Down I'm buying Live. If anything left me unimpressed it would be the 2k10 Draft Combine. I will play the 2k10 full game demo though.

Yessur I will be getting Live 10 once it drops, I kind of made that decision awhile ago. I really did enjoy the demo and I kind of need a 2K break for a bit, so Live is first on the menu this season for me

No, I haven't seen enough to justify a first day purchase. It's not a bad game, but maybe renting the final version will help it grow on me.

Might eventually pick it up once the price drops around $39. I didn't think the demo was all that great and the hype that has followed is certainly not justified.

The fact that a patch is already discussed before the game has even been released is troublesome IMO.
                  Patch a demo?

Demo is not the final build.

                  Every game has its patches...

If you asked me before the demo came out, I would've probably said yes. Now - not so much...

I wasn't going to get this game at all because of past experiences. Now, after playing the demo, this will be the best rental of the year.

I love the demo. I liked 09 a lot, so I am able to look passed a lot of the issues you guys have. I just love the way the game feels, looks, and plays.

I always get both games, one at release, one a month or two later. But this will be the first time getting Live on release since live 2005. I just need a change, and Live is going to be a lot of fun

Eventhough Im a 2k guy, after playing the demo, EA pushing me to switch this year, Mike and EA has done a great job. Damn I cant believe I was saying that. 2k10 is almost the same as 2k9 IMO.

At first when I played the demo it feeled different but after a while getting used to the controls it is AMAZING.

                              definitely a buy

Good thing I didn't preorder it when I seen the screens. Screens sold me, gameplay didn't. Still way behind the competitor (IMO).
