    This.

I think this is my third post in this thread and its because the game is fun. Its just hasn't "arrived" yet. Only way i'd pick it up would be if I get tired of 2K after the all star break and the DNA has a good body of data to work off of.

Still it would be nice to have a dev be specific as to what issues in the demo aren't in the full game. EvanRG (I think) had a lengthy post about issues he was having and Marcus just replies with "thats because you're playing a demo" and an lol. Thats not the kind of healthy back and forth we've typically gotten. A helpful post wouldve stated whether or not Evan's issues were addressed or reduced in the final version. Obviously we know the demo isn't the final product but if you could be specific about demo flaws that definitely were addressed in the final code, why wouldn't you identify them?

Again the demo is fun, but more than that its frustrating due to little things that add up to detract from it.

        Demo was a huge let-down.

Only way I'd buy it now was if I read that the frame drops have been fixed post release and a patch adds post up and defensive buttons.

I voted no, but could change my mind based on more playtime and clarification on differences between the demo and final build, particularly on frame rate and players stepping out of bounds

Probably not a first day purchase, more like a first week purchase. I will wait till Playmakers and Tomba have some sliders to roll with.

after demo, probably wait and buy it black fri or whenever walmart does that $30 ea sale. pickup ncaa too then, if its out

it is a big improvement over 09, but not a $60 buy for me. $30 sounds about right.

This broadcast cam really bugs me I thought the 2K9 demo annoyed me but this one takes it to another level. Because of how quick your reactions have to be in order to be effective on off or def.

I just suck on this cam I can't defend shots because I take the wrong angles 90% of the time. The game is really feelin like a gamefly then buy due to my issues w/ the camera now.

I really like playing it but the broadcast cam is just ruining my experience with it. I don't know what I'll do if I have a chance to get it early. I think I will most likely pull the trigger because I still do like the game.

Most of my issues seem camera related so if I can't get it early I'm going to gamefly it and see how I feel then.

Hell if someone told me that NCAA 10 or Madden 10 was being delayed another 2-3 weeks to get everything in for the retail version I wouldn't bitch or complain.

But then again look at March Madness/NCAA Basketball....they actually didn't release that game two years ago until January and it still sucked. They released it earlier last year and still no major difference. The animations were poor and the AI was awful.

So, honestly it doesn't matter to me when they release the game just release it knowing that you gave it a 95-100% walkthrough and tested just about every thing.

Right now we are seeing patches that are adding things IMO that should be in the retail version once it drops NO EXCUSES plain and simple.

I'm just waiting on one of these games to actually ship out a product without a ball to play with one year..............

Imagine that a football or basketball game being shipped and they forgot to include the damn ball and tell you a patch is in the works.
I've been saying this to people for years.

A guy goes to the dealer to pick up his brand new sports car. On the way home there's a red light, he steps on the brakes, nothing happens and he is t-boned by a car on the cross street.

After he gets out of the hospital he complains to the dealership. "The car had no breaks!."

"Sorry," says the dealer, "it was a known issue but the fix didn't make it in before that model had to ship. It's planned to be in the first title update."

PS - call it whatever, it's still a patch to fix a broken game.

Definitely not worth a purchase from me. I haven't bought live since 2004. Maybe next year. lol

Brakes is a major component though, Imo Live don't have any major components that are broke. Just little ones, like a window not rolling up properly. So it isn't really going to hurt if it gets fixed a little later.

exactly. If live had no jersey's on the players or no ball it may have been an apt analogy but the patches will just "tweak" some of the minor annoyances to improve the overall product. There are countless games that would benefit from patches that don't get the follow up support that the dev's are showing for the live series so i think they should be applauded for it.

I'm getting both hoops games day one and may get ncaa imported when it comes out (it's not sold here in Australia) if the impressions are favourable.
