This wouldn't be a problem if the teammate AI on the users squad was as good as the CPU's.

They go up because they know there is no resistance in the paint. If you as the user are put in the same situation you may be stripped, blocked, or fouled.

Your AI teammates almost never do those type of things, if they did I'm sure we would see more resets.

Agreed. But, I switch on ball all the time and since I know they are going back up with the ball I actually get a lot of blocks (too many) in those situations. I switch and then just press Y to block.

This games wants you to play defense. Playing off ball all the time will get you beat.

Lol I know it wants me to play D myself but it shouldn't force me to by having bad teammate AI imo.

Besides bball is still a 5 on 5 game so if I'm trying to lock up Kobe myself I shouldn't be punished because I want to guard one player only.

This is one of those games where you need all 5 players to get a stop on D because sometimes your put in situations you as the user can't react to properly. So you need your teammates to help you at times.

There are certain actions I can't defend because of how fast they can happen like a dunk or layup off a rebound. Especially when I'm not the player that got outrebounded.

So for me it would be helpful if the AI at least attempted to help at times instead of just standing there Lol.

This type of stuff doesn't happen all the time but its annoying when it does, because you know it couldve been prevented.

I'm not saying I want to get a stop on every play, but if I play good D for 20 seconds I don't want all of that to go to waste in 4. Just because a teammate failed to make a simple action.

Hi, i created the os account only to say that. In my opinion this game is really sweet, but i want patch to solve one problem (glitch). I don't like when computer is dunking and i am trying to block him. Often instead of foul, referee calls the goaltending in spite of ball doesnt't leave player hands. I will be pleased to see patch which will solve this problem . Thank u

Here are my three issues that really make playing the demo anoying at times.

1. Tweak the frequency of paint steals

I understand the logic of trying to make the cheesers pay for trying to spam the right stick for easy dunks, but the solution that's in place goes overboard. There have been far too many times where I'd see my perimeter ball handlers inexplicably lose the ball or get ripped by bigs whenever they get into the paint or secure an offensive board. Andrew Bynum should never be pick-pocketing Vince Carter clean when he's got an idle dribble going.

Perhaps the alternate solution to address paint cheesers is the make ball handlers have to pick their dribble up when they face took much resistance

2. Improve the Double Team Logic from the A.I.

Many times, I've seen some really idiotic double teaming from the CPU. For example, on many occasions, I've seen Vince Carter leave Kobe Bryant wide open to double team Andrew Bynum who was being guarded by Dwight Howard. It makes no sense at all for that to happen on two levels. One, Howard can easily bottle up Bynum on most 1-on-1 occasions so he shouldn't need help. And two, no one EVER doubles off of Kobe Bryant. It just doesn't happen. To close the loop, I'd like to see double teams only occur after an offensive player has established himself as being a hot player. Like in the real NBA, players have to prove they are deserving of doubles unless they are superstar players. I'm not sure if this is something that's fixable for Live 10, but it's an issue that definitely needs to be addressed moving forward.

3. CPU should only steal balls they can see.

I can respect a game that forces you to be careful with passing the rock, but Live 10 cheats in this respect. I've seen several passes that get stolen by players that aren't even looking at the passer. It's like they have eyes in the back of their heads and it's a glaring issue.

I still plan on picking up Live 10 on day one, but I'd like to see some acknowledgment of some of these issues. I'd love to hear some fixes are in the works on these too!

I've been able to look past some of the smaller issues that I had earlier on. One of the bigger problems I have right now is the distance from where you can execute a dunk or layup-- it's way to far out.

I'm not sure if this is even something that can be altered, but as it is I feel like my control around the perimeter is reduced because of this. It especially comes into effect when I'm trying to go glass, but end up going into a layup animation instead.

I want a dedicated Post Up button. The user should have control of when and in what situation they would like to post up and back down. I should be able to post up outside of the paint against my defender, then release the post up button and spin off my defender....ala Tayshaun Prince move.

I want to see the Protect the Ball R3 button from NBA LIVE 09 put into NBA LIVE 10. A great feature that just made sense, since most every player that starts to execute a play will turn their body, to put their body between the defender and the ball to protect the ball from being stolen while a play is being executed off ball while the point man is dribbling.

This.... It's just weird when it happens. It would look and feel so much better if goaltending wasn't called and we just played on. We don't need a foul, just let it be a facial dunk.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but in the demo when wearing the Lakers' home throwbacks they are wearing their road sneakers. Can this be corrected?

This must be tough to do in basketball games for some reason, CH2K8 had a lot of problems with alternate uniforms and mismatched undershirts.

I think we need to know what's in the final build before we can actually know what needs to be patched. The back down button is the only thing concrete at this point.

1. Allow passing out of air collisions

2. After jumping for a rebound or after shooting down low dont make the player unable to get back up for 2 seconds. This 2 second down time(cooldown) is not realistic, players jump quickly after jumps.

3. When you alley oop off bal the player stops dead

4. When alley ooping the player has to be really close to dunk, in real life players can fly from far away and dunk. You need an attribute allowing for certain players to dunk from far away.

5. If you retreat dribble passed half court behind the 3 point line chances are you're automatically go over and back. No logic

My suggestions are very simple:



A). Make sure the Sliders WORK!! Too many sports games this generation are released with broken sliders. If you have a slider called "Blocked Shots", make sure IT affects the amount of blocked shots. I hate when sliders are included in a game but are proven to not affect gameplay whatsoever.

B). Remove the auto Post Up. It was so much fun in previous Live Games, and 2k Games as well, to simply hold a button down and post up your offensive player. I really am not enjoying letting the game itself control when I can and can not post up. I should be able to post up, back to the basket, on a guard at the 3pt arc if I want. Just assign Post Up to a button.

C). Add a "Defensive Stance" Button. Live has had it many different times, but now, it has been removed for some strange reason. I DO NOT mean some type of Auto Lock On like 2k had, I mean a button that keeps your back to the basket on defense and makes it easier to step in front of the offensive player and strafe/slide step across the court, keeping them from getting to the basket. It could be Down on the Right Stick (map the draw charge to something different) or simply holding one of the shoulder buttons.



Now these are all I would really love to see added in Live this year. Working Sliders could allow EVERYONE the opportunity to fix parts of the game we do not enjoy.

It kind of does that for you, and you can strafe on defense. The only time players get to the basket on me is when I get screened or play too close. If you can read where your man is going, then beat him to the spot and put a body on him.
