I sincerely doubt that. With Live's general marketing strategy, and all of the gameplay adjustments, online improvements, and dynamic season, I find it very hard to believe that they've made any significant changes to dynasty and are hiding it from us.

Yeah, maybe you're right. Does any one know if they scrapped Be A Pro mode? I really enjoyed it and was hoping they would expand on it.

that's the problem exactly, we have ZERO info on franchise mode, I mean come on, EA want's up to buy there product, well give us some info on the mode most of us play.

I agree, especially since that's imo 2k's strongest game feature. Hopefully Dynamic Season is great enough to not even worry about the regular Franchise mode.

I worry cause it's my favorite mode. I still don't understand why games always replace old features with new one's we don't need or aren't even fun. I think they should just build on whatever they have while still adding more to make the game BETTER! DNA was cool last year, but, really, i didn't need it or use since i'm always so deep in my Dynasty mode. My 2 cents.:wink:

I am and have been itching for new info on dynasty/franchise mode for awhile myself. I hope it's nothing like Madden 10 where they did all this yackidi yack about there franchise and when you get the game it's just boring/dull with too many flaws in it out of the box.

I really want a grade A franchise mode and I can honestly say that I have yet to play a game that had franchise mode comparable to that of Live 2001 on PSone, 2K has generated some very nice franchise modes but they get old and stale after awhile with boneheaded cpu logic. Please EA please get it right with Live 10 it's the biggest selling point to a sports video game in my book. Offline franchise players seem to get less love with each passing year, and it's so sad...

Since you asked and this didn't get answered, I will assume that LIVE has the same franchise/gm mode as NHL.

Been with 2k for years....I have been intrigued by Live this year because the demo was pretty cool

But.....

After reading all this stuff about the lacking franchise mode I must say that there is no way that I will consider purchasing Live

Unless...

2K dosent fix its whack azz simulation engine and the whak azz stats....How are the stats in Lives Dynasty mode anyway? Do they track individual stats from year to year like 2k?

I gotta admit, i am a bit disappointed myself. Both companies highlight their best feature early. 2k with My player and Live with gameplay controls and Dynamic season. I guess Live is leaving their worst improvement for last, the Franchise mode. I hope i am wrong, but then again there are no signs as of now that i am. This is big too because everyone who gets the game will probably start a Franchise first seeing as how Dynamic Season won't start until November.

I was on the fence for this year and I just can't play all 82 games and just can't let go of my team and sim. NBA 2k8 will still be my game this year.

Is Live's franchise mode that bad compared to 2k's? Not sure its a deal breaker(looks to be a great head-head game) but I also love 2k's setup with franchise mode and all the options they give you.

Would be a damn shame for them to leave this AND online franchise modes untouched for some weak *** features.

I am a 2k buyer for the past like 5 years. This year, I am back on the NBA Live bandwagon. But I have some very VERY serious concerns about this year's live game that can seriously push me back to the 2k Side of the tracks.


Here are my important questions, and questions that seem to be on everyone's mind.

We know about the NBA Dynamic Season in Live, is there also an NBA Dynasty or Franchise Mode or is Dynamic Season the only "Season" or "Franchise" we can play?

I mean, I am one of those people that like to Sim my first Franchise Season right off the bat, then get a full Offseason where I can trade, draft some rookies, sign free agents, release players, and start my season off in year 2. Sometimes, I will play a game, then sim a few games, play a few games, sim a few. Or even just simulate games against losing teams. We know we cannot simulate in Dynamic Season, but is there a Franchise Mode or Dynasty mode where we can?

Garreth Reeder even said in this Dynamic Season Hands On at Gamespot - "There are people who really like to be the GM, do drafts, sim ahead, and do all of these things," he adds. "But there's a huge part of our consumer base that are solely focused on the real NBA season. They're either following their team or just the NBA in general. That's who we're targeting with this mode."

Well, I am one of those players that wants to simulate ahead, be the GM, make trades and draft players. Are you turning your back on myself and others who enjoy playing this way? When he says "thats who we are targeting with this mode" it makes me think there is another mode, Dynasty or Franchise, for the rest of us. I HOPE SO!!



Are there injuries during the Dynamic Season Mode?

THis is a question more for the others asking. It seems ridiculous to putting all this time into a Dynamic NBA Season that is supposed to be so realistic and in tune with the Real NBA Season in Real time, however, this is a game and injuries are fun. If my guys are invinceable and I don't have to worry about them getting hurt, that takes away a lot of the fun of a basketball game and NBA basketball.



I would appreciate any type of information showing if there IS a Franchise or Dynasty mode outside of Dynamic NBA Season mode and if there are injuries in the Dynamic Season Mode.
