Are you sure that's an injury? He does a slight hobble animation, then goes right back to playing normal.

You did not hear the announcer say " *Name* looks like he's injured....Lets hope its nothing serious".

Not sure Pared but by the looks of it, it looks like a real time injury. Might not have been a bad injury.

Yea, those are definitely in the demo but the questions are, do they happen to just offensive players, like in the demo, and do guys not make a recovery from them, forcing teams to call a timeout when on offense to sub him out? If THOSE are in the game, WHOA-NELLY! But if not, eh, maybe next year. Not killing my joy and excitement for Live 10 but those are serious questions, though. Can anyone answer those, Pared?

LOL I had the volume low here at work. I thought you'd see him hobbling or something for more of the play from the way you described it.

That's the thing though, it's always "nothing serious". It seems purely cosmetic and does not affect the player at all, like just another one of those post-play animations that's cool to see at first. Of course I could be wrong since I don't have the retail version yet and can't verify.

But anyway, nice vids and thanks for posting!

I dont like the Staples center organ or the spurs defense chant being played in Denver...I was really was hoping that they would be unique to certain arenas

Yeah that's my experience with it too -- I've seen various injuries, but they play the "I'm hurt" animation and then go back to normal and there's really no mention of it after that. Since we don't have full access to injury reports, etc., I don't really know if an actual injury results. But yeah, nobody has ever had to leave a game in the demo due to injury... my guess is that they're just cosmetic and add to the atmosphere but aren't actually "real-time injuries" like we had in 2K9 where they dive on the floor and always come up with a separated shoulder.

And I thought that one of the devs said that only simulations will have actual injuries where players are out for several games... not 100% on that though. It's a nice touch to have those, but it would be nice if they were more serious/binding instead of just being essentially a presentation addition.

Just so everyone knows, there isn't always the same outcome for all the animations. Some yes, like the body the ball handler and he stumbles out of bounds and loses the ball. But the contact animations very, sometimes they put the ball up with no foul call, sometimes they get a foul call, and I've had some instances where both players go up in the air and make contact and the defender pokes the ball out (not the stip the ball animation), this is in the act of shooting with the ball above both players head. I've also had some instances where both players go up in the air and make contact and their would be no foul call but the offensive player is so off balance you'll see the defensive player kinda grab around him to keep him from falling.

So theirs different scenarios, many of these are just spread out which actually keeps the game fresh IMO.

Yea I remember iminurbase saying there are no in game injuries this year no matter the mode.

Its one huge sacrifice they had to make if its true, but I can live w/ it if its something that needed to happen for the game to be where it is now.

Like say instead off adding in injury logic they worked more on developing the passing game. If it means something like that then I'll take that for this year.
