funky there are some people you should not be playing that closely. I talked a lot early about knowing the right angles and deciding to give space or pressure. Also if the on ball defensive ratings of the players your using to guard are poor they will have less contact animations ... ie less successful at boding somebody up.

some people you want to shoot jumpers . its okay they are not going to shoot 80 % because of dna.

If you use the defensive assist let it go if you think they guy is going to change directions. Also it is very helpful to play defensive like real life if your up on a quick player move back and at an angle to stop the drive not direction left or right.

What is the defensive assist? Not sure if I am using it or not. I'm on PS3 if that makes a difference.

Is there a way to see the 3pt ratings of all the players?

Do you mean in the entire league or just your game? You can see them at any time in your game if you go into team management > substitutions then press r2 untill you find the ratings then move across untill you find the 3p ratings.

CZAR...I am still not clear on th whole DNA Dynamic Season thing.

If I start my season...i can actually add DNA into my own season as it's being played?

I.e. I don't need to start again to get updated DNA?

You were right about the playbooks bro...they are a thing of beauty

I think the simplest explanation of Dynamic Season is a season mode where you can play any of the games and the sim engine is real life results.

WOW... I just got torched by the Knicks... lol.

First game, 12 minutes, no slider adjustments, my Cavs went into the Garden. Granted, I'm playing on an SDTV, a small one at that, but the graphics are still amazing. No doubt about it. This game is a thing of beauty.

I was playing great about half way through the 3rd quarter, but they went on a small run, I didn't call timeout, and they let me have it. I played Cavs bball circa 2003-2004, just tossing the ball up.

Bron had 42 pts, 9 reb, 8 assists but I took 36 shots to get it. 18-36FG, 2-5 3PT FG, 4-4 FT, 1 Block 1 Steal, 5 Turnovers. Knicks shot 48.0% to my 42.1%. I was only able to muster 8pts on 2-8FG w/ the big Diesel Shaq. Absolutely pitiful. 8 PTs, 6 Rebounds, 5 fouls.

Overall though, an absolutely amazing game. If I were playing on my old tv, then this would be SO much more enjoyable.

Can't wait for the next game. Cleveland goes into Denver...

R1, keeps you a good distance in front of your man, but the longer you hold it the more likely you are to get blown by so use it like its name, as an assist. Its similar to how the longer you hold R2 the more likely you are to get stripped.

Alright same deal here as with the other game to make sure it's all fair.

Before I start I'd like to point out I've booted up the game 3 times and have only got the demo group in the hangar. Once to put in the DNA code,once when installing it and now to play a game.

Post as I play...

7 minute quaters,Kings @ Thunder (me)

Don't have the Kings gold jersery.

Nice mention of the rookie battle with Harden and Evans after having inserted them into the starting line ups.
Don't like how the commentary gets cut off when you pause.
Can see the screens in the arena during a timeout.
Loving the fouls. I did bump the slider up a bit though.

22-19 Kings after 1
They shot 76.9% and 66.7% for me. Better take those sliders down.
Didn't get a chance for quater subs.

OOO gettin' some nice stuff for the highlight thread.
I'll try raising the hands in post slider see if this stops that steal every time but that might be for something else.

34-32 Kings after 2 for sure gonna need more than 7 minutes.
Kings 53.6% overall but 57.1% from 3
Thunder 51.9%
Wasn't as many fouls there. Don't think there were any at all in the 2nd actually.
Hands in post thing doesn't seem to help.

46-44 Kings after 3

This game is intense.
Any way to see how many time outs you've got left?
Evans has hardly played for the Kings,pretty much only the first few minutes because I had him as a starter.
This really got the game of runs deal down. Kings haven't scored in about 2:10 and I've got a 5 point lead now.
A ticker came up with how many time outs we both have.
63-61 34 seconds left,Westbrook misses and then they start fouling after Kristic gets the rebound. They still had 1 to give though so it was Kristic going to the line. Got it to Westbrook.
Crowd yelling de-fense! during the timeout after the FTs. Normal season atomsphere too.
They missed,got the rebound and put it in. 4.5 left.

65-63 final for the Thunder.
Gonna need at least 10 minutes,probably 12.

Thunder 44.1%,41.7% from 3 (though most of those were open),8/9 from the line,31 reb,16 ast,3 blk,2 steals,9 turnovers,5 fouls,11 fastbreak points

Nenad didn't get any points but he did snag 12 boards

Martin with 19 pts,5 rebs,3 ast
Udrih 12 pts,7 ast
Nocioni 11 pts,3 rebs

Nice replays,there's even one just listed as emotion.
Gotta up these highlights now.
Probably one of the best games of basketball I've played.

yes dna and boxscore from all of last season and playoffs. The actually have a calender for each team and when you click on a day you can see all the games played. Much more organized than last year.

I played against bron in the 50 pt game as the knicks....DNA is the truth !!!

THIS. RIGHT. HERE.!!!! All I gotta say is, MAJOR props to EA Sports. This game is the TRUTH! Haven't felt this way in a LONG TIME.

All we need is a in-game save feature.

CZAR, etc, this game is the absolute truth!! i picked up both games today, and while i do believe 2k is a great game, im am really loving Live man. this game for me has lived up to all of the hype, and then some! OMG! i love this game. The highlights in between dead balls, and just the overall look and feel of the game has me convinced that this will be my game of choice this year. Of course i will be keeping 2k, only for the my player mode though. Anyone on the fence about Live, try it out for yourself before deciding on buying it or not. The game is not perfect, but its perfect for me! Great job EA dev team! You guys really did an outstanding job! Back to playing..........

I had an epic game online earlier. I was playing celtics (me) vs. Cavs. I was down one going to the fourth and then lebron took over. He hit some crazy circus shots to barely pull it out.

It was probably the most intense game i've ever played. The crowd was ridiculous and very immersive. Going back and forth in the final minutes, trying to take advantage of mismatches was great. Instead of trying to exploit a move to get to the rack.

dynamic season is a separate mode from dynasty mode. However the games from last year are "rewind" games where you can play one off's of any game from last year using those rosters and player dna (how they played) from that game.

I am not sure of all the particulars on dynasty and dna and if you can build your own or if the cpu stays static.

One of the things I love about rewind games though are all the roster adjustments that take place automatically.

You load up a last years knick game and if its early enough zbo and crawford are still there. Its really sweet !!! LOL

Sorry mate i'm at work or i would go in and check where they are exactly and pass it on. I know they are in there because last night i was having a hard time scoring with anyone but Durant with the Thunder and i thought i could use some 3 point shooting off the bench to help me out. The only problem was that no-one on my bench had 3 point shooting above 60 so that wasn't going to help me much.
