Where can I practice plays? I don't see a practice mode anywhere. I call plays but all you see is a red dot (or black sometimes) and then players have an A icon appear over their head. I'd like to actually know how certain plays are supposed to look and be run.Currently Playing:

I 100% agree on this I don't see the contact animations often anymore, maybe 4-6 times a game (I really don't know the number but just don't see them often).
I had the same emotional impression roller coaster I had with demo:
1. Cut it on and was very under-whelmed
2. played it thought the demo was better (maybe faster)
3. played more and fell in love w/Deng's mid-range game
4. started to get a better feel for it and that retail plays a little... cleaner, maybe... than the demo
5. now love it
I hate the camera's none of them have enough adjustment for my taste. With all of them (as in with anything 3D done on a 2D screen) you loose all or part of one of the dimensions. If I could adjust the cameras a bit more I could account for that.
Broadcast doesn't allow the height to be adjusted high enough. If it I could lift it higher it would be easier to determine distances from the sidelines. I tend to play on the side of the court that's closest to the viewer (I can see the lanes and angles better) and I don't like that lack of balance for my offense.
Press would be my favorite camera if I could get closer to the action by getting the camera lower.
High and Low simply the high won't go low enough and the low won't go high enough, LOL. I would love to view the players at the exact height angle of broadcast but from the baseline like in high/low. This would mean the camera would have to be pulled back further than half court to allow a wide enough field of view to see the whole 1/2 court and that would make for an interesting pivot point during transitions. I assume that's why it is what it is. Ideal within in those constraints would be to get rid of high and low and just make one baseline camera that allows adjustment from the lowest of the low camera to the highest of the high camera.
That's it though no real gripes with anything else. I love the game I hate that my favorite players are all on teams I don't want to play with, LOL. I love how Brand and Iggy play but not a fan of their teammates. I like LBJ but I play human competition a lot and I don't want to be accused of picking the strongest teams like my nephew Mayor McCheese! I want to get one team and learn the ins and outs of it so my only REAL problem with this game is what team do I play with. I am leaning towards Portland or Memphis, although both may qualify for that "strongest teams" classification.
I know what you mean..I am a camera switching prostitute.
The broadcast and press cams allow me to see most of what I want, but like you, I tend to only play on the side of the floor that is closest to me, and my depth perception gets all fouled up.
the stick movements are absolute, but when coming in from a side angle, I get confused as to what direction to go in. Stupid, but true.
I like the Baseline low camera, because I'm closeto the floor, and my shot timing is better, because I have a better, up close feel for the shooting animations, but I hate the swivel after posessions, and I do not always know who I am passingto, inthe corners.Comment

24th I'm not sure which one your talking about or if you mean them all in general(forced shot) in the paint ?
Anyway if its the general contact animations and you feel your seeing the same one. They are generated i believe i heard B say off of the attack angle. I think some people are going right at the rim and generating the same ones.
Don't forget move that stick to the left or the right of the basket to help avoid contact and choose which side to score on. I do this alot and see a bunch of the different animations i believe he said there are up to 60 in the game.
Also a tip for those who are having issues getting to the basket. Live employs more of what I call a lane driving system this year. What I mean by this is once you have your man beat go ahead and start your layup or dunk attempt. No need to get ALL the way to the basket before you do that.
In addition to beat the defense on the higher levels and avoid some of those challenge shot animations use the right trigger left and right of the basket euro step and hop steps. They were designed to help you get around the help defense. really experiment with pushing that left stick hard right or left of the basket on your drives.

Aight...I'm a straight up online head 2 head player so please preface all my comments keeping that in mind.
I love the game...Its all about smart basketball and making good basketball decisions. Online connectivity thus far has been buttery smooth. I have even noticed that when playing random fools who simply want to dribble around mindlessly and throw long passes...Well...THAT DON'T WORK NO MORE.
I caution many of you about complaints concerning players getting back on D too fast because thats not the online experience thus far ( 1 whole evening)...I see too many people...including myself who want to get a rebound make one wing pass and another long pass and expect to get to the rim...Well you can get to the rim but there will be contact and a contested shot that will often end up as a miss.
There are fast breaks in online head 2 head games but more often than not my unfamiliiarity on the sticks has resulted in a wack pass or not executing the break properly...Its there though...No doubt. The drama we gotta go through regarding fatigue is nonsense and I won't even go into explaining how to get it to work online but lets just say its there and a pain to activate.
This game is about pure basketball and thats what I love about it...This is one of the first times in any sports games when I've notuicefd the use of cheesey tactics gets ZERO LOVE in a game...It opens up a whole new online world for me...I usually would avoid the Kobe's and Lebron's online but I'm almost thinking the level of simulation in this game may make it possible to simply continue seeing good sound fundamental basketball.
I definately agree with Pared in I would like to see more defensive options but at the same time you can manage to pplay decent defense in this game...Defense definately needs some attention in the future though...The mid-range game is really done very nicely and its easy to get caught up in these games trying to reign three's or drive to the hole but if you neglect the midrange game you are missing much of what this game has to offer.
For those who want a post up button...I aint mad at ya...I can go either way but I think the post up button will go a long way to appease many folks. Since I'm on the post...I do not like how when you call for your PF or C to post there seems to be too much traffic for a brief moment..Its like the PF and C get in each others way..Is that me messing that up or is it an AI issue...I need some feedback and to explore this further.
A question for the Devs or anyone Tho: Where can I get a tutorial on the plays...No disrespect but the way 2K did their plays by showing you a diagram during the game would be an excellent addition for this game...I need to know how each play runs and plays out.

Ok let me just say that I officially SUCK at this game lol. Funny part is I enjoyed almost every second of being terrible. I really have to get rid of the bad habits I picked up from playin the other game. First game I played Knicks(me) v. Heat, I got destroyed and lost by 27, I love how this game forces you to play real basketball. I honestly don't have many complaints other than a couple of wonky block animations and a couple seconds of framerate slowdown here and there. Awesome game overall and very welcome changeComment

BTW...to use Fatigue in an online game here is what ya gotta do:
1. Set up a Custom game...UNRANKED
2. Go through all settings and turn FATIGUE OFF
3. The game will then search for an opponent and likely not find one but it will give you the option to CREATE A SESSION...Then re-create a custom session again turning Fatigue OFF and invite a friend from your friends list.
I ran a 10 min qtr game and observed many of my reserves being used throughout the game (due to auto subs) and the stats were SPOT ON...The Final score was 102-93 Suns over the Knicks...I played a guy from this forum and we had a great game...
NOTE: Gallinari on the Knicks is a Beast from the 3pt line...Don't slleep on himComment

Completely take out player lock in online games. People run straight down the lane after made baskets and misses and just throw the ball threw everybody for easy layups or slams. Get rid of it. You have a good game right now......please get rid of this for online play. I repeat again, take it out of online play.
Also it seems as though when I put my pressure on tight to guard someone, many times they'll still lag to far away like they're playing off of the offensive player. Is this a bug???Comment
