Don't forget move that stick to the left or the right of the basket to help avoid contact and choose which side to score on. I do this alot and see a bunch of the different animations i believe he said there are up to 60 in the game.

Also a tip for those who are having issues getting to the basket. Live employs more of what I call a lane driving system this year. What I mean by this is once you have your man beat go ahead and start your layup or dunk attempt. No need to get ALL the way to the basket before you do that.

In addition to beat the defense on the higher levels and avoid some of those challenge shot animations use the right trigger left and right of the basket euro step and hop steps. They were designed to help you get around the help defense. really experiment with pushing that left stick hard right or left of the basket on your drives.

Maybe it's because I'm still adjusting to Live, but is anyone else seeing a lot of points in the paint by the A.I.? Dudes are just getting past by me easily. Not feeling all the turnovers either. Too many interceptions.

Just be smart about the passes, depending how far he player is your passing to, not sure if it matters, if the player I'm passing too is a little far from me I keep the turbo button pressed while passing, and close I let of the turbo.

I don't see many points in paint, well not a lot to worry.

Just be smart about the passes, depending how far he player is your passing to, not sure if it matters, if the player I'm passing too is a little far from me I keep the turbo button pressed while passing, and close I let of the turbo.

I don't see many points in paint, well not a lot to worry.

I don't know, maybe I gotta tweak with the sliders a bit because I'm seeing the same passes being intercepted. But I guess I just gotta be smart with them.

I'm seeing a lot of drives to the basket, but they were with Knicks and Warriors. Still trying to get used to the defense in this game. Very different from the 2K series.

I have started to notice that too many passes get intercepted on default All-Star. I was preaching about "passing lanes and angles" as much as anyone but even when I'm careful about this too many passes are picked off, and it's always by the CPU and never by your AI teammates.

This is true but also remember, there's very little passing in the NBA. Alot of plays are 3-4 passes. Most plays are 2 passes and iso. Learn to use off ball controls, mismatches and clear passing lanes. Stop tryin to thread the needle with low rated passers...

Not enough fouls for my liking. I even raised everything to about 85 I'm guessing since their are no #'s to go buy. Still the cpu hardly goes to the line.
