No patch is needed for this. Just:

a - Don't shoot with a defender right in your face
b - Don't try and pass THROUGH opponents
c - Don't dribble into the paint with a bunch of defenders in there

You know, play REAL basketball.

Exactly...I hope EA doesn't change too much in the patch just because people complain...

Go online, just played a guy that went 10/16 with Mo Williams and over a majority of them were contested. A couple he hit doing the turnaround J about 3 ft from the 3pt line...Bottom!!!!.

I really think in this game you could throw a shot up with your back completely to the basket and your face looking at the opposite basket and this game won't take into account the difficult of the shot, It just feels like once the ball is in the air it's % based no matter what and that shouldn't be the case.

I'm a defensive type of guy and I take pride in playing solid defense, and to feel like your playing excellent defense only to have some scrub who has no idea of basketball and the way it should be played just come down every possession and jack up contested 3's and they still fall is disappointing. It was no where near as bad in Live 09. I mean not even remotely close.

Another thing as well, I have yet to see 1.......not 1 tipped put back miss. And once a player gets an offensive rebound and goes back up for a layup, if you don't block it it's money 95% of the time.

What level are you playing? I have not seen one player light it up on 3's (I've maybe seen like 4-7)...and although a lot of the time following up after an offensive board gets put in, I definitely can tell you it's not 95% of the time in my games...

My final impressions:

- Great work to Mike, Steph and the team. A huge improvement on LIVE 09.
- The series is back. 100% back on track.

For me though...there's too many fundamentals still missing. I am going to go with the other game for my season. The Draft Combine spoiled me. I need my fundamentals covered

I won't go into detail here as I don't want to spoil guys fun and people are clearly loving LIVE this season. Enjoy your seasons fellas. Great season to be an NBA gamer

Im with you....Live really blew me away once I put some time in..and the 5 games I played online were a pleasant experience for the most part. Listen.....

Live has just about ABSOLUTELY nailed half court offense...
The ONLY game your going to get simulation stats in 12 quarters.
Player control is absolutely miles ahead on offense then any game ive ever played.
When defense isnt sliding, its wonderful how you the D plays as a team...

But for me, as much as I told my friends about how the game has improved, as much as I have enjoyed the game...it has suddenly grown stale to me after the honeymoon was over, and the honeymoon was sweet lol...There are some things missing that for ME, I cant deal with, and at this point....im ready to move on....I will probably keep the game and run some one offs....but its time for me to move along at this point...

Graat job though EA! knock em dead next year!!! I will DEFINITELY be on the lookout..

Having no issues with threes. Went 9-22 last night with the Heat (Cook and Quinn) and that was only because the majority were open due to Wade drawing and kicking.

Every man and his dog though can come on here and complain and this or that. No one really knows how each other play. Guys might be matadors on the defensive end yet they complain about shots.

Unless there is a barrage of comments against one area (fastbreaks for example), I hope the developers don't listen to the odd comment here and there asking for changes.

Go back a couple of pages and check my screens I posted. No need for me to lie. I'll post more screens as well. And as far as fastbreaks I have no problem with them, I think they're done in a realistic manner.

I have this game, but haven't opened it out of the plastic wrap. I am concerned whether I've made a good lasting purchase or not. I've been playing 2k games for a while so Live is a new thing for me since live 2005/2006 or something.

Is this game worth keeping? I've only played the demo and I think it's fun. I like the authentic lakers' arena sounds.

Loving this game the more I play it and the more I get used to it. I'm getting really comfy with the Knicks and it's a blast to use them.

It is tough to get down different player's sig shots. I can't get Melo's at all, I'm clanking every jumper with him - same with Steph Curry. Sucks there isn't a regular practice mode to use these guys, just gotta hope certain guys show up in the hangar (and I'm almost positive Curry never is).

My biggest problem right now is that there is a huge imbalance in the CPU's defense and your CPU/AI teammates' defense.

The CPU will jump plenty of passing lanes and block a lot of shots for the opposition but your CPU-controlled teammates do hardly anything on the defensive end of the court outside of hitting the glass. The CPU can throw lazy cross court passes and get away with it, if the user tries to do that then forget it, it's stolen 99% of the time (as it should be). I probably see one pass per game that gets intercepted by my CPU teammate. The other team will pick off a dozen easily so things really need to be evened out between the user and CPU.

I've seen Curry in my hangar. Griffin, Harden and a few other rooks were there, too.

For Melo's shot, it's a fairly quick release. He doesn't jump super high on his shots so you don't have to hold the button down long.

Perhaps we should make a thread where we can discuss sig. shot release points for different teams/players? Would be a nice reference since there's no practice mode.

any tips on how to get to the line anyone?

just turn the fouls up to about 3/4 of the way. think i had about 18-20 foul shots my last game, and that was 7 min qtrs. i thought it felt about right. except for reaching fouls, just leave them.

Yeah, EA, what's up with that?!!! I understand leaving out All-Star Weekend. But, was there no jusitfying a practice mode (a real practice mode), either? Some type of practice mode is essential in ALL games, today.
