Re: NBA Live '13 Wishlist
The NBA Live franchise is making a comeback in October and there are certain things 'Create-A-Player' mode needs to become more enjoyable and exciting.
Endorsements
Endorsement deals with companies like Adidas and Nike could be implemented to boost CAP gameplay. Also every new releases of your shoe can be put into the game e.g Lebron 1-8,9 etc. Also you could be in Gatorade and shoe commercials. etc
Billboards
Billboards being implemented into NBA Live 13 would really help improve CAP realism and make it look more authentic. Also if you've done something notable like break a record billboards go up around the town which your team is located and you posing. You should be able to choose how you pose as well.
Magazines
If magazine articles for your CAP when you do something notable or something happens DO get put in the game, here are some ideas. You can choose how you pose, your facial expression etc.
Press Conferences
Pre-game and post-game press conferences should be held and you should be able to choose from a variety of voices according to ethnic group
'Dynamic Duo/Trio' Mode
This allows you to develop unmatched chemistry with two/three certain players on your team even to the point of the commentators talking about 'Utah's big three or Atlanta's deadly duo of etc'. This would significantly boost realism in the game
Nicknames or 'initial nicknames'
In NBA Live 13 there should be a large variety of nicknames ranging from 40-50. Also there should be 'initial nicknames, the means I can only choose 2 letters that the commentators can say e.g if my name was Carlson Jackson I could choose the two beginning letters to form one nickname 'C.J'
Build and frame
In NBA Live 13 there should be 10 body types that your CAP can choose from
e.g long wingspan and skinny, stocky and average wingspan etc. This would further add more realism and commentators can comment on your buildComment

Re: NBA Live '13 Wishlist
Honestly everyone can have all these different modes, halftime shows, pre-game, music, and ESPN stuff. I'll just take great/smooth gameplay that looks realistic, good graphics, a good franchise mode that promotes/demotes player stats accordingly with the ability to upload a draft roster, and a solid online game that doesn't lag or take 20 min. to find an opponent. Call me old school but I don't need all the bells and whistles. I just want a game that works and makes me want to play it by having no bugs in the gameplay.Comment

Would be nice to see a Summer League added to the game for the players that don't get drafted to prove themselves and ultimately get a contract instead of instant D-League.death to mollyComment

Would like to see an updated CAP feature, and actually an editing feature in general. One of the lacking departments in Live 10.
Not to mention everyone looked like aliens, and had weird head gloss issues.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: NBA Live '13 Wishlist
One of my wishes might have been granted from watching that latest interview from HHG. I was hoping for a way to draw up plays somehow or have an actual playbook and it looks like we're getting something like that.
Now I just wish for fluid gameplay. Does anyone know if there is anything like the FIFA engine or the new Madden one with collisions in this game? I haven't read a lot on Live yet.Comment

Re: NBA Live '13 Wishlist
In the Presentation, I would definitely like to see certain holidays or awareness months that the NBA acknowledges show up in the quick games down to the franchise modes. Having players wear their *. Patrick's, Christmas, Latin Heritage, Throwbacks, & Alternate Home/Away Jerseys on long homestands or roadtrips would be awesome to see!
I was also thinking about how much I loved the dribble mechanic in Live with the right analog, but also how I'm sure most of us hoop-heads who've played 2K are rather used to the shot stick which feels much more fluent than the press & release button. So I figured it would be awesome if the devs were able to introduce the all-new "Game Changer Stick". With using two either of the two shoulder buttons (say LB & RB or L1 & R1, respectively) a player could hold each corresponding button as a modifier. By default the stick could shoot, holding R1 would be a the dribble moves mod, while L1 could be used for the icons pass, or the smooth analog pass, giving the player total control from the right analog & enabling them to truly change the game.
Other things I would like to see include a mode called "All Eyes On Me" this mode would be somewhat similar to what is going down in Madden 13, along with some inspiration from the "Become Legendary Mode" & other Superstar/My Player type of modes. However in this mode, you would get to be the Owner, GM, Coach, AND your own personal player (either CAP or existing). This way you could improve the team by making signings & trades that make sense, along with adjusting everything from lineups, to whether you wear black shoes and black socks for Home games, all while making the experience for your personal player more interesting, but of course with repercussions for showing favoritism towards your guy, such as players becoming discontent, dips in team chemistry, or even trade demands if your player hasn't earned the minutes or role you assign him.
The last thing I would ask for is the same dedication to CAP that games like Tiger Woods & Fight Night have shown. Being able to face map your own picture should be standard nowadays, & equally awesome would be to take headshot of yourself to be shown in the roster photos & the lineups during a presentation. Adding the facemapping ala Fight Night would also encourage those of us who are dedicated to excellent CAPs to add players to the game that EA may not be able to license or just for fun.
Along with that, there was an excellent thread about adding things such as player build and wing span where you would have a variety of body types, rather than just your typical height & weight options.
Also keeping up with current on court apparel trends is important. Almost everyone is rocking the leg sleeves that cover the knee & calf now, having those (including the hexpad variants) would be awesome, along with mouthpieces, and actual legit knee braces ala Chris Bosh.
Also have real flowing hair too! I have long locks like Kenneth Faried, & I think it would be cool to rock those differently (like Faried, Marquis Daniels, Renaldo Balkman, or Jordan Hill.)
Well these are just some ideas I had at random given the game is still in pre-alpha & it sounds like EA is going all in, I hope some, if not all of this makes it way into the game!Comment
