Naw player...I play on Superstar and I generally don't play clowns...No game will ever be cheese proof..The minute your "Step Back Jumper" is addressed fools will find something else. Play on Superstar with people who are playing sim and allot of that nonsense will be handled

I like simple phrases that carry meaning. 'Find a basketball solution' is the perfect way to say it because if something arises in the game and it's not possible to find a basketball solution for it then and only then does it become an exploit.

not going to get sim games, playing randoms the majority of the time, in any game..but yeah..as another poster said..heavy on ball is the antidote.

it doesnt help that EA has the default sliders for online play on "pro" difficulty..either.

Yeah, I would assume this would be patched. The complaints about the other game is people just run in and dunk. Now on Live, people just run up and shoot. What fun is that?

you really think a game is cheese proof or can be made cheese proof !!!!!!!!!

i play call of duty 4 and gears of war online ALOT. and anybody who plays online knows that for every 5 decent gamers online there are 100 clowns.

thats online gaming, if i played you and shot 100 3pters all game i guess they should patch the game so online 3's cant be attempted get real return the game and spare us your presence on the forums

Second, being a clown online is one thing. But being able to hit 30 foot fadeaway 3 pointers is ridiculous. This has nothing to do with teabagging someone after you frag them or talking trash on the mic. This is an exploit that anyone can take advantage of, clown or not. If I play people online, and they are doing this, and it is incredibly unrealistic, then it ruins the experience for me.


It is not like guys score 90 points from the 3pt arc every night in the NBA. This is not realistic. It will be patched, so EA is listening.


Ok, now you can go on to being your awful self again my friend.

With all of the people I see whining and crying about cheesers, you have 3 options.....

1. Stop playing online
2. Suck it up and take your lumps from the cheesers
3. ACTUALLY CREATE A THREAD ON OS FOR OTHER SIM PLAYERS, MAKE FRIENDS, AND PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER!!!

#3 is a brilliant idea....don't you think? Especially if a game has a huge amount of upside. If played properly, the game is fun.

Take it in stride... ever tried putting a super tall person on him? I dunno, man, I've seen people hit it in live run (the short amount of time I played it) but I've never seen people do it in ranked 1v1.

You gotta understand that there will always be exploits and you just have to take the loss like a man and move on. Win more, you know? I am not sore vs people like that. I just say, "If you want it that bad, take it." They had crazy stuff like that in 2009, too.

I am really disappointed they have goto moves in it at all... and I refuse to use them. I think anyone who uses them or relies on them can not call themselves 'good.' You play for two things, to win and to gain respect. If you don't gain respect, then it doesn't matter if you win.

To throw away a good game because of one person or one exploit, I dunno what to say. I play to be the best not be the leader on the ranking board. People know they are doing something that skews the game... I want to beat someone and have them think, "This guy is really good."

I sold my copy of Live 10 also. Here is why.

*No lockdown D
*Animations/player models annoys me. Gameplay comes first in my books and Live 10 gameplay is awesome but their animation is annoying as hell. It hurts my eyes look at players like Brandon Roy.
* 2K has the herky jerky movement and Live has that "too much agility" movement. I know this can be turned down and proven it works.
* Too much steals
* Rebounding feels scripted. I hate how guys look like they are gliding over you when rebounding.

Overall I love live's gameplay and feel that they are improving and a few years from now it may go back to its glory days but for now I just don't see it.

I used to complain about cheesers in 2K and Live, but the best solution like someone said is to simply don't play online.

I have way more fun having a good sim game against the computer than I ever will playing against some geek who's obsessed with finding ways to cheese in a video game. I lost an 90-88 4th quarter thriller to the Pistons today and I was so into the game and had great moments that made me feel like I was playing.

As far as the step back jumper goes, defend it better. If you know they're going to do it then either:

A. Play up on the ball.
B. Pressure the ballhandler with a half court trap
C. Let them shoot that shot all day so they ignore the entire offense.

I couldn't look pass the player models, the fadeaway 3 pointers that always goes in, no post up game and too many steals.

All things that are patchable. Excluding the Player Models. This is thee best year to own both sonce Live 05 and 2k5. Both has its flaws but they are video games ppl. Not flawless exhibitions of the NBA ran by super computers. I'm guilty of it too but we expect too much at times... speaking of expecting too much, I expect Live 11 to drop JAWSSSSSSSS lol
