I mentioned this issue to nogster in the 2k forums because he's playing nba 2k and look at what he's saying

BTW, I'm watching the Memphis-Toronto game right now on all access (replay) and Gasol just pulled it back out, the Grizzlies reset and got a big basket late in the 4th.

The next possession he went up with it.

i wanted to mention this but pared wanted us to cut down on the 2k comparisons which is kool because of the argunments but its ironic, if we could fuse these 2 games together just imagine

Im not talking about 2k, just the fact that one guy is calling for kickouts and one guy is calling for going back up

I would definitely want guys never kicking it out as opposed to always kicking it out.

Like I mentioned before, besides a select few guys, most bigs put it back up when they get a O rebound.

Like Pared said, there needs to be more options for the AI after a board but like Carnal said, where is the line drawn?? IMO, the development team sees after their research that more times than not a player IRL goes back up after a O rebound. Now if Derek Fisher and other guards like him are doing this then there is a problem but is the problem a game breaker?? For me it's not but I can understand if it is for someone else...we all like and dislike different things.

I am for sure going to watch a game tonight and really focus on what goes on after an offensive rebound. I am curious as to what happens the most....a kick out/reset of the offense or going back up.

Honestly.. isn't this something DNA should track? It shouldn't even be a question for each player.

Synergy must have this information and it should be in the game.

i will say this fisher will and have taken it back up !!!!!!!!!

can this be fixed with edits i am looking but i am thinking it will be a number of edits and my idea contradicts the bigs game ex.

if you lower aggressiveness they layup more and miss more, if you lower close shot likelyhood,and close dna % they kick it out more but never go into the post hence less offensive boards and no post up opportunities, they moonlight around the key and 3pt line and get total 2-4 off rebs as a team...

i have seen kick outs when i edited for it but you have to kill the bigs inside game because for that logic to occur you have to make them ineffective in that area, using the same logic the bigs have at the 3pt line they always pass it because they are ineffective at that area.

From the games I just watched, it seems to be 2/3 back up, 1/3 back out.

i wish dna would include a passing category as well so nash could get 20 and 15 like he does...

imo the dna for all role players is too generous when a guy like dampeir has a 83 close shot likelyhood and a dna close% of 39 and a finish at the basket of 84% not sure of the actaul numbers but i'm close, it leaves room for him to attempt too many shots, especially on off rebs, i have had guys like okafor had 20 at half time because he gets it and dunks, but i dont see a way of fixing it unless we kill off his game and he gets maybe 10 a game which feels a bit scripted because he wont deviate much from the low ratings and his game becomes predictable..

Definitely agree on Fish or guards like him.....only way he goes back up is when nobody is close.

I dont know guys.....you think there is a point where messing with one slider could mess up another part of the game?? If we change Fish's putback could that mess with his individual style and play??

In most games there is always something that bugs me and I try to find a solution and then realize I will just have to overlook the issue. This may be the case for the kickout issue, if indeed it is an issue for you.

I dont think that will mess anything else up

he still has percentage tendencies PnR, Spot up and drive left right shoot, etc... to drive all of that

not sure if you are talking to me but....

the close shot% IN DNA SCORING seems to control his position in the offense, so if you lower his dna he wont go in the post area then is you lower the CS likelyhood and dunk aggr he will pass it if he gets in that area thats the logic i noticed, not 100% sure on that though

also most bigs have less than 20 in on ball defense so the body up animation never triggers down low, so the cpu seems to think they are not covered closely and unless they want to post up which is triggered by a play set they feel there is no one around.

there is no physical play in the paint look closely at the bigs ratings for offensive boarding , they all have low, boxout, strength, sink and swin thats why reb's are a joke most times i dont know why these numbers are so low.

i have raised them but its wonky at times where a guy completely boxes out him man so well that he wont even get the board or sink and swin where shaq once threw aside another player or they are going back and forth that they both get out of position and someone else grabs the board
