yep they've got a tough task ahead. tight development schedule + turnover rate pretty much means trouble for new devs coming in. probably why alot of bugs mentioned existing since beginning of next gen live still exist, guys learning code on the job that's probably poorly documented or written. obviously marcus leaving isn't a good sign, but hoping that the relatively positive feedback they've gotten with live 10 and that EA's gone through their layoffs means that they'll have some semblance of stability going forward. looking foward to seeing what they've got in store for live 11!

However, I can't see 2K ever getting the controls as good as LIVE. I mean, they've had a long time to it and haven't. Isomotion seems to be stuck where it is.
Personally, I don't really like isomotion. I much prefer Live's controls.
Most other things though (IMO) are far better in the other game.
In an ideal world, LIVE would add all the stuff we want and comine it with their controls.
Hard to see it happening though as they are just so far behind. Hopefully Beluba can come up with something extraordinary, but it's hard to see it happening at this stage. I mean, Phil Jax is a great coach but I doubt he could win with the Clippers. Beluba's got a pretty big job to do.Last edited by Court_vision; 01-15-2010, 04:58 AM.Comment

Re: Your final thoughts on LIVE 10?
Very, very true. This game 'feels' like basketball more than any game I've played. That's one reason I want it to succeed and have tried to stick with it.
But what it doesn't do is "simulate NBA basketball"...i.e. have any player tendencies. Every player shouldn't be able to spin the lane like D-Wade and every big shouldn't euro step and take Js like Dirk...it's a very, very "generic" version of NBA ball as there's no legit stuff that makes D-Wade different to JJ Reddick or Shaq different to KG.
If they can keep that basketball "feel" and somehow add realistic tendencies...we'll have a hell of a game.
At the moment though it's just too generic and it ruins the whole experience playing v the CPU when you see Jermaine O'Neal spin around like he's 18 again or Drew Gooden move like D-Wade or Shaq take a hook shot and fall over when he's 2 feet from the basket and unguared or Dwight Howard get rejected when dunking by Aaron Brooks.
Live 10 is kinda back to basic thing for the most part game wise, and also real life basketball wise, now they need built on bit by bit by adding real authenticity in the game.
This post by CV should be carefully examined and thought on it so that we would have an unmatched Live 11 basketball game.Comment
