But knowing it could improve shouldn't be a bad thing either. If that was the case no one would ever buy a ipod. I agree that you should purchase your item based on the features it has.

Cars are actually a great example, seeing as they have a new model every like sports games.

Wait lol, it just hit me. Okay so if i'm looking at a car and the dealer says this is a great car, new design, different from last year and our vision and goals won't be fullfilled for a couple years.

Haha, okay if I knew that I definitely wouldn't be purchasing that car.

Lol, okay I fully understand where you guys are coming from.

I nev...... lol it's not even worth it.

Man, I Don't even know what to say anymore. I get the whole Key features missing, that was in previous installments part of it. But saying you're not going to buy a game just because a Developer has came out and said there will be a 3 year plan makes no sense.

The developer has said time and time again that this is far from an unfinished game. Yes there are fundamental things that could/will improve in the future but that alone shouldn't stop you from buying it this year.

I'll just leave it at that. And I'm fine if everyone disagrees.
I dont know about all of that but the comparison stuff for justification is just as wacky in my eyes

Like I said, show me another game this gen, especially a sports game that has released this many fails in a row and besides a series that is no longer being produced, you cant.

I don't understand what their previous fails have to do with it. Is it a trust thing???

I have no problem with trust cause it's a video game, if I don't like it I won't buy it. The only lives i've purchased this gen were 09 n 10.

But I may be completely missunderstanding you, if so please correct if I'm wrong.

So I should probably stop answering questions about next year and how things can be improved until people have at least tried the demo and formed an opinon about this year's game.

I was wondering about that, but when you state it like this it makes sense.

As I said, this is the reason I said the thread was off topic

This is about NBA Live and Elite

Now we're talking about cars and Halo and Gears of war

                Way off the original points

I got you though, way off point. My bad.....

                    Re: Suction, Control, and Animations

why dont we all just wait for the demo and make our decision, because no one really noes whats under the hood, other than a few that got out to venice beach and got a feel for whats ahead. im real curious to see if its even worth my time this year let alone three years down the line. not to be disrespectful to anybody at ea but does ea even sound rite talking about a three year plan when everything over the past six years has been part of a three year plan. i would love for elite to be a good game to play because there are some things i like about the direction of this years game, but i'll be damned if i hold my breath for ea again. you have to be teal with yourself when it comes to this game because the chances of it going in another direction before the three year time line is greater than not. if i puchase this years game it will be soley based on this years game and not on whats could happen in two more years down the line.its day by day when it comes to ea dog

                      Re: Suction, Control, and Animations

When it comes to this 2k/Elite war I'm sort of a mercenary I'll play the best overall game and Elite for me is kinda in limbo....I've been reading some other threads and i don't know how live/elite can add some animations without losing a bit of control....Because that's the consensus of the people complaining that it doesn't look fluid and I'm kinda in that percentage of people

The biggest problem for me personally is that from every video i have seen there seems to be no individuality....It seems to me like every PG, SG and maybe most SF's has access to the same stock dribbling animations and that is kinda disappointing cause i like to be able to differentiate one player from the next not only by looks but by ability as well

What I'm trying to say is to give us that individuality for next years version like player specific dribble styles or moves will they have to add animations that strip away some of the control? If someone can answer this by all means
                      You'll get choked out........no doubt.......Hulk Style

I remember when me NBA Live King from NLSC edited the hell out of that game.

There were still some issues no doubt but it was a fun game after like 2000 hours of editing........

If i'm not mistaken that was the game with best footplanting installed in it. In one of those videos that move by Manu was pretty sick. Looked outstanding which makes it hard to believe they (EA) still haven't progressed in terms of animations from 08 to Elite 11.
I remember that too well!!! We should have gotten jobs after that LOL. And I agree with the footplanting feature after rewatching those vids, they really went away from it, I thought 09 had a nice build to it, and they could have went along way just off of that build.

When I first seen the Elite vids they quickly reminded me of Live 08 and 09, and by looking at the moves and animations in that game, it's like they went back to the old build for Elite 11, just switched up the player models, so they don't look too skinny

Im really starting to believe its a different level of gamers as far as what guys look for and want. Before i heard about elite or started coming to the elite forum i did not look for things like footplanting, or physics. While i longed for the day we could get games to look like you are watching a real game on tv with graphics and all i figured its a video game and that was all to it.

I mean i played the hell out of games and you can say im a hardcore gamer or whatever but i just think it even goes further then that. I left it up to the devs to worry about all that stuff. But yes i did pay attention to things like graphics, animations, gameplay, and strategy

So basically i guees those things were not important to me cause i did not pay attention to them

That's what the internet does to you man. Don't ever go on a internet forum where they discuss movies cause people can really ruin it for you. Same can be said for here or any forum for that matter.
