To be honest I was expecting them to release a game this year, but I guess that won't be the case. It is a little surprising to me. Hopefully with all this time they can do things right.
If they're building from the ground up (again...) hopefully they implement a solid base that they can keep expanding on. Just make sure the game plays realistic out of the box and don't worry about extra BS features. The focus should be on the basics like gameplay, presentation, control, franchise mode, etc. I don't want to see Be A Pro, I don't want to see Ultimate Team, I don't want to see any of those extra features. I just want the best possible playing game. And please switch the name back to Live.Originally posted by bradtxmale

All i want to know is since EA is bowing out for this year, will NBA 2k12 actually have a full fledged allstar weekend in the Association mode, i.e a real dunk comp, real 3pt etc..If so that would be nice addition to the game.Comment

It's hard to imagine if atleast one of EA studios haven't been working on Elite since being cancelled that they will make that much of an improvement. Enough to compete with 2K13 anyways.You looking at the Chair MAN!

I'm confident 2K12 will be just fine. I doubt they will get lazy because the competition is on hold....not gone.

2k is too mature a company to sit on the laurels. What's more, they respect their customers and fans.
After all has been said and done, the name - Elite and the product itself seem to be the biggest busts ever in the history of sports gaming to me.NBAComment

I would guess that they will overhaul major systems as they see fit. I don't think they have time to start from a blank sheet and still get a game out that can be competitive. But, again, knowing Tiburon, the game will be the way THEY want it to be.Comment
