Competition usually results to better quality so I'm hoping that EA will be able to make a product that can push 2k sports to always make improvements to their game...

Re: EA Sports Will Launch its Next NBA Simulation Title in Fall 2012
What if EA's baskeketball game just came out in Fall 2012 and just blew everybody's mind? Jaw dropping Graphics, True life physics momentum, Smooth animations even the subtle ones, signature everything (especially dribbling). That would be crazy lol
I just hope everyone in the game doesn't dribble the same way and post up with the same animations, that would kill it for me.Twitter - @OtistheOriginalComment

OK I' am hyped for this. EA knows they must deliver a solid fun product. It does not have to blow the doors off of 2k. It just has to be solid and fun.
I feel they will deliver. Lets go EA you can do it!!!!!!!!!
This way I can have 2k and Elite. Like the good old daysSimply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

I know that EA will probably provide a lot better online play, since they already have many online games working. This is something 2k has yet to accomplish. I'll probably hope onboard elite too if 2k does not get there act together with the online stuff.Comment

if a mere demo can knock your already made, printed and shipped game completely out of the shelves
I said it when it happened I'll say it now, that's a 3 year cycle you're looking at
and unfortunately for you people, with the NBA lockout in effect, it's quite possibly 4 years before EA has another basketball title out
fall 2012? wishful thinking on your part
realistically more like fall 2013 or if EA's really unlucky and 2K doesn't slip up, Fall 2014Comment

Re: EA Sports Will Launch its Next NBA Simulation Title in Fall 2012
Its been a while they've been developing this.
I assume they started development on NBA Elite after Live 10 came out so..
Started Development in Fall 2009 => Continued and released demo Fall 2010 => Cancelled release to develop more around Fall 2010 => Still working on it now as 2011 ends => Game is scheduled for release Fall 2012..
That's about 3 years total of development time, they have to at least have something decent put out by 2012. They have an opportunity to really bring in some crazy technology.Last edited by NoTiCe_O; 10-24-2011, 10:48 PM.Twitter - @OtistheOriginalComment

All i know is with all this time there spending on the game and not saying anything (which is rare for EA not to at least plant the seed and throw in some type of marketing ploy). It has to be GREATLY improved from the NBA elite Demo that came out Fall 2010 sometime.

they haven't
there is no EA nba game..
sad to say it so bluntly, but it's foolish and wishful thinking to think that all this time has been spent by EA "Developing" anything.. at *the most*, they're conceptualizing it at this point and time.. they have "code", they'll simply tweak it and modify it and whatever but it's the conceptual stage they're probably working at most right now, exactly this: "How do you put a game out that will make a dent against NBA2K"
as for their silence? it's not so much silence as it is strategic concession, the NBA landscape *IS* 2K.. period.. there's no fighting that, you can make as much noise as you want to, 2K dominates all so even if you make news and market and hype, it won't beat 2K because that's how dominant the NBA2K series has become..
if anyhting, EA is waiting for 2K to show some weakness, perhaps with 2k13 or 2k14, but really like I said, that's 2 more years down the road
realistically, you'll see another EA NBA title probably the Fall of 2014, 2-3 years awayComment

Thats an insane amount of time for a sports game. To compare uncharted 2 and 3 took about two years a piece too.Comment
