the higher the difficulty level, the fiercer the computer will storm back and beat you in the fourth quarter. It's like all of a sudden, your team gets ice cold, but the computer can drain fade-aways from the arc like he's standing under the basket.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
Well that clinches it, ESPN for me again this year. Live looked great in the vids, but there's nothing more frustrating than EA's patented late game catch-up AI.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Of course some people will still claim that it doesn't have the comeback ai.

I'm sure at least one person will tear into me and call it "realistic".

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

They'll probably say that you can't play the game or that it happens in real life so it has to be in the game. But the point is in real life you can feel if your shot is right and you can choose whether to shoot it or not. But in a video game the computer chooses what shots you make or what rebounds you get.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Well comebacks happen nowhere more frequently than in the REALISTIC NBA.

As for "feeling whether your shot is on", I wouldn't know how anyone (not even SEGA) could implement that into a video game.

But then again...I'm more into a fun game rather than trying to simulate a game to an average % of everything all the time.

Life just doesn't happen in averages....there are peaks and valleys.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I know they can't simulate that but having the computer just able to make every shot just so that the computer can win isn't good.

      i hear ya.

      that can get frustrating.

I'm hoping sliders fix each of our strenghts and weaknesess.
There are enough Sliders for cryin' out loud...that's for sure!

I doubt those guys (IGN) bothered to tweak to get a better result.

they are out of the box reviews more than likely.

If that score was on a average it would be 8.2. I really don't see how they score it a 8.8 when the gameplay was scored a 8.5 and the only thing that got a 9 was sound thats why i question IGNs scores because it seems that the game is wack but they bump the score just out of respect for EA. I'll wait for the ESPN and Inside Drive reviews before i but a game.

i don't get yall in here and in gamefaqs. u guys whined how the game last year was too easy , then u guys wanted the game to be harder and now ur whining because the ai gets hard in the last quarter. what is it that ea needs to do to satisfy all of you. there are sliders you know. oh well it's not like anyone pays attention cause it just comes out the other ear. i'm gonna go play my game and have fun while u guys talk about the negative aspects of the game that don't mean anything since there is sliders. i'm out to play, peace
