The Official FA "Bug" Thread.

All other threads on the subject will be locked. There are too many to count right now. This thread will now be your one-stop information shop for the "FA Bug" issue, so that other things can be discussed.

In a nutshell, it appears that in Dynasty Mode other teams do not re-sign all their stars .... and that no one else does either. While simming stuff last night, I noticed that Kobe, AI, MoPete, KMart and others were available in Free Agency after the first year. Many refused to sign with me (I'm the Warriors).

However, once the season started, they remained in the free agent pool, willing to accept the minimum. No other team had signed them.

This may simply be an issue of a CPU that is too cap-aware, or not intelligent enought to make the adjustments necessary to get (or keep) a superstar.

I'll try to do some more poking at it later today.

NOTE: I have the PS2 version.

I know EA must know right now about their slow down and the FA bug. I was just wondering if anyone was contacting them to what their going to do about it. The faster it gets addressed the faster we can get a change. The more we contact them the more urgent the problem will seem and the more they'll hopefully try to address the problem. That's just my rookie thoughts. What do you think?
I can't even find an email to tell someone on the ea site!!!

I know if we bond together we can have this problem fixed in no time, because the games to good to have a stupid fluke hold it down!!

I'm wondering if there's an option to control all teams in dynasty mode. You know, kinda like the opposite of being able to let the computer handle all GM duties. That way you could go in and resign the guys you want since you're controlling all teams.

After reading all these posts about this so called bug and how it seems to be a universal problem, one is left thinking how did EA not realise this? Don't they test their games?

Everyone who I've heard complain about this seems to have the PS2 version? I imagine that this problem is consistent across all systems, but can anyone confirm that the problem exists on the XBOX version as well?

LOL! Does EA have any game testers? First Madden, now this? And no way will EA send out a new discs like they did for Madden. CPU teams retaining their superstars and smart Free Agent AI is not an advertised option. Maybe next year EA, but your not getting my basketball money this year. Dolts.
