Am I the only one who cares that there is no way of passing off a drive to the basket???
Its hard enough now to get players open for jumpshots, and withour this ability its even harder!!!
This is just about a game killer for me!!!!

How and the hell does Live allow this sort of thing to happen is beyond me. They have always allowed passes out of layups, and dunks! What the hell happened!?

I think the separation of the "shot" buttons is the reason for this. Once committed to a dunk or layup, how often have you seen an NBA player pass? This is not a common occurrence. Passing out of a regular "shot", yes (i.e., the "jump pass", which does happen). But once a player launches off his opposite foot and is going strong to the rack, he is either going to complete the basket, get fouled, or get rejected. Not a problem, IMO.

I understand what you are saying... But the simple fact of the matter is, is that players DO make breaks towards the basket, faking the drive to pass out to an open jump shooter. And the best way to do that in live is to start the layup or dunk animation which causes the defense to close into the paint. And with this years version YOU CANNOT DO THIS. If you simply try to RUN into the paint the defense sticks to the ball handler. And if you press the layup or dunk button, they will shoot it no matter what!!! We should have complete control over this. THIS SUCKS!
