Re: My Review - 8 Hours worth of playing

Stop taking the guys comments out of context he asked where is the crouch button
and explained clearly his problems with the game.

I dont trust many peoples reviews however especialy "professional" reviewers
who only spend an afternoon playing the game.

I think I could really enjoy all of this years games but my pockets are light so
I have to choose one. I will be renting all before I make a purchase.

Wait thats $15 bones I have to encourage a few friends to pick up all three to test
    for free.

BTW: I always thought Live had customizable controls?

I've been playing with the sliders all day. Look at my post in the Sliders discussion. Players like Mike Bibby are better then that in real life. In Live 04 the ratings are not realstic. How does Gary Payton have a 79 rating. (If I remember right). How is Payton at his old age better t hen lets say Steve Nash who has a rating somehwere in the 70's I think. I've been playing all day and because of the ratings being so low they are no where near as good as they are in real life. Everybody has been complaining on how bad Live is this year with the choppyness and the glitch. I just feel that Live is a disappointment this year and I expected so much I even played the game a few weeks ago and the game ran smooth and was a lot better. What happened

Well I can only speak on the Xbox but there are only two control options. There are no changes to the defense on the other control option.

Look like the only reason they even added one more option was for people like myself who do not want 2 button for shooting. Unless I completely missed something I saw no way to map the buttons. The only EA game to allow that so far this year is NHL 2004, that I have played.

Re: My Review - 8 Hours worth of playing

This is what I don't get. Last year, all we heard were complaints about how easy it was too score, freestyle is unstoppable, the shooting percentages are waaay too high. If you played last year's game you'd see that mid-range jumpers were almost a 100% guarantee with over 70% of the guards. Last year, freestyle was abused to fake out defenders, now EA Sports has come to their senses and realized that that would be unrealistic. EA did these things this year because of the huge outcry last year that the game was sooooo unrealistic. Now we have sliders and they've slowed down the game to a manageable pace.

The ratings, I don't wanna mention. There's an edit player mode. Use it. You saw Mike Bibby last year. He didn't do anything special. The rating is realistic in EA Sports' mind.

I know Forlorn is entitled to his opinion and all but I just find it funny that everything people cried about last year is finally being put into the game. Maybe Forlorn loved the offensive domination and superfast pace, I dunno. You gotta give EA some credit, they slowed down the game, made new animations, spiced up the defense. I'm pleased with the game the way it is, there's plenty of sliders there for us to use. Forlorn, I know you weren't pleased with the game but I just dont understand youre complaints when you thought last year's Live was terrible. This year is without a doubt leaps and bounds ahead of last year. Thanks anyway for the review, atleast you told the truth and had some unbiased opinions.

Really, if you don't think a player is rated high/low enough, then simply edit their attributes to your liking. I will be changing some, I know that much.
