best argument for Live's post game that I've read. maybe they should take away the ease of backing people down to force people to use all of those more realistic options.

I thought this too until I played at the Press Box camera angle last night. It was a little awkward at first, but as I got used to it, it made the game that much better. I could see the whole floor, and I could see plays develop. I think the whole problem is simply the perspective of the camera angle. I think most people prefer either the Baseline or Sideline camera. Try out Press Box. The floor will seem much bigger in relation to the players.

BTW, I think the post game in Live is sweet. You have to remember, posting up isn't all about backing down your defender. That's not the only moves you have. Posting up is all about footwork, and getting your defender off balance, or to get him to bite on a fake. I think Live does this beautifully. Catch the ball with Duncan, turn and square up, then pivot your back to him, then ball fake, then turn and face, then shoot the jumper. Next time, back down one dribble and spin. Next time pivot baseline fake shot, then drive. You have tons of moves on the box, and it's the element of using great footwork that makes Live's post game fun to use.

I always used the Press Cam, its just that the court is to small. When I call plays, the players 9 times out of 10 get stuck or bunched up into one another. Its becasue the court is so small that you cant fit 6 guys on one side of the court with out everyone getting stuck together. Watching a real game makes Live court seem even smaller since the camera used to televise the NBA game is the same camera I use when playing the game.

I think Lives post game is perfect. Its never easy to back someone down due to the constant double team they'll use. Once double teamed, your shot will be altered so when you recieve a pass in the post, you have to think real quick in order to beat the double. Plus players like Tyson Chandler have a harder time backing someone down than Eddie Curry. And its only so far you can push back a defender before a double comes, once you push the defender back a few steps, you cant push him back any further.

You're right, the doubles do come quickly, but if you do the drop step(use the prohop button with your back to the goal) it's almost a sure two points...nevermind Shaq, I was doing it all day with Dirk and Boozer.

No, no no, What level did you play on? That drop step does absolutly nothing when the cpu plays tight defense on you. You'll end up drop stepping and the cpu will stay directly in front of you. And quit being so pesimistic with the game. If you dont like it, dont come on here saying lies man.

I know what you mean, although 9 out of 10 might be a bit much. I think it's more like 4 or 5 (hehe). Anyway, one of the things I do when I see some bunching up is to immediately call a different play, maybe one that spreads the floor, then immediately call the play I want to run again. Which, in a sense, is the same as pulling the ball out and yelling "reset" when a play isn't working properly. When I look at it this way, it doesn't bother me as much, lol...

When I watch real NBA games, I must admit, I think to myself that one way to open up the REAL game is to widen/lengthen the floor. NBA players are just too big nowadays to keep using the same court dimensions. And I don't mean just widen the lane, like in international ball. I mean lengthen the court a few feet, and widen it a bit as well to compensate for today's super athletes.
