Well I play with the Timberwolves, and im able to get breaks with the slower Wally and Sam Cassell, and the quicker Sprewell. Sometimes I get ran down, sometimes I dont, it all depends on how fatigued they are and WHEN I pass the ball to them on the break.

I'm not trying to get anyone upset, just trying to give a couple of pointers. NBA LIVE 2004 is a great game TO ME. Understand that EA will NEVER PLEASE EVERYBODY. It's 100% IMPOSSIBLE. It is just a videogame. People can continue waiting for that PERFECT GAME if they want to but i'll tell you this, it'll NEVER HAPPEN.

All of the flaws that alot of people are talking about will probably be fix for 2005. But as soon as that game comes out, everyone will find more flaws that will need to be addressed 2006 and so on and so on.

I understand everyone has there own opinion, so I hope that one day everyone whom is looking for that perfect game finally gets it, and I definitely hope it's worth the wait, but in the meanwhile I'll be enjoying NBA LIVE 2004

I completely agree. Games will always be flawed, but that doesn't mean people can't vent their frustrations out on here, something a lot of people on these boards have a serious problem with. I don't understand why people become so offended that there is a bug in the game they enjoy. If they enjoy it, who gives a [censored you naughty boy] what anybody else thinks. In the mean time the bug's there, deal with it like the rest of us. Some of us will live with it, some of us will bitch about it, some of us may even trade the game in. This doesn't change the fact that it is unacceptable and shouldn't be in the game in the first place and that EA should know that people are unhappy with it. Last year's Sega titles were buggy as [censored you naughty boy], but after a lot of criticism everything I've read this year has indicated they've come along way for 2004.

Lately the game has been really good to me. I haven't become overly frustrated with the game in a season and a half. I haven't seen any rediculous comebacks, or any new unexpected situations occur. Part of the problem initially for me was watching some of the crazy things happening in the game after being so used to Sega's titles from last year.

I can get them with much slower guys such as Cuttino Mobley, Eddie Griffin, Bostjan freakin Nachbar. Surely if I can get a couple fast breaks with Mr. Nachbar, y'all can get some with AI.

I think you've missed the point. It's not an issue of not getting any fastbreaks. Shawn Bradley should NEVER catch up to AI on a break...

Well, you're right, I wasn't trying to justify Shawn Bradley catching up, I'm just trying to help out...... if I'm not helping, oh well. I tried.....

But the passing timing thing does help. But yeah, you're right, AI should not be caught from behind by Shawn Bradley.....

sorry if I came off a little harsh there, it wasn't intended to be that way. It's one of the big problems of the internet.

Just to clarify, I wasn't saying that because I've brought up issues with the game doesn't mean that it shouldn't still be enjoyed. Like I said, it's a good, fun game. But the game shouldn't be given a free pass on it's flaws, and it would be a better game if it's held to certain standards. The speed cheats the computer uses ARE a problem - and it's a problem that runs across most/all EA Sports games. Late game shooting by the computer IS a problem. If enough people don't voice these concerns, why should a developer change anything?
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

            XBL gamertag: d0meBreaker22 (that's a zero)

                  Re: Not feelin y\'all

Like I said before, I don't notice the late game shooting. All my games I play are DIFFERENT. Some games the computer completely throws up a bunch a bricks throughout the whole game, and close to the end when there trying to close the gap they will try to shoot alot of threes which will be nothing but bricks as well. (Some of these games which I win AND lose)

Some games the computer will manage to hit a couple of tough shots or threes, but not enough to close the gap or keep the score close. (Some of these games which I win AND lose)

Then there are some games where the computer will hit ALOT of clutch threes no matter what and it will either be a tough win or a tough loss for me. (Some of these games which I win AND lose)

I must also say that I'm able to go on runs just as well as the computer goes on runs as well. I think the momentum is very good in this game and along with the atmosphere just makes the game so much fun.

In no way am I saying there arent any cheats in this game such as catch up speed(Which I think is alot worse in Madden) And I do agree that these issues along with others does need to be addressed. But I do believe that all of the problems with this game has been brought up enough and if EA hasn't gotten the picture by now then they'll NEVER get. Everything has been SPOKEN ON concerning the issues with this game repeatedly since the game has been release. Now I think it's just time to sit back and ENJOY a very GOOD and FUN game, and let EA take care of things

So we can just shut the board down then right? I'm sure all of the positive aspects have been discussed as well. The boards should only be open for 1 week a year so they can just cover all the issues.

Please, people have the right to complain and vent. In fact you're going to see an increased number after christmas. If you don't like it, ignore it.

I think we lose focus of the fact that these are games we play. We all have a certain level of relaxation and enjoyment we feel when playing these games. I truly believe some of you need to lighten up on the conspiracy theories of cheating ai and ea does not care. The main alternative you have is not to purchase the product. I read these posts and I assume that most people still enjoy playing this game despite its shortcomings. Is the game perfect? No, it is not. It is one of the best b-ball games EA has produced and also one of the best this year. If your frustration continues, stop playing the game and get something else. I believe it is more effective to go to the Wishlist thread and jot down what would make next year better.

This is not a bash on anyone in this forum. I just think too much time is spent on downing the company or the game. Either continue playing the game you have or switch to a better product.
