It's not only talent but the technology that EA doesn't have. If you don't have the right tools to do the plumbing how do you expect to be able to fix it. It's the main reason why EA tried to buy TakeTwo years ago. They wanted the sports market to themselves and really only wanted the engines to 2K's football and basketball games and of course GTA. Thank god TakeTwo didn't sell!

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
I'm not impressed at all with the trailer, but it's what i expected so i'm not exactly shocked either. But i'll wait until i hear about the gameplay and people's experiences with the game before i decide anything. However with the trailer looking a lot like live 10 i'd be very surprised if it turns out to be any good.WetBeaverNeeded YouTube - blacktop/crew/myteam/association on ps3

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
I'm buying. Graphically it was not as good as 2k but I've always preferred live because of the way it controls. I'm still interested to see how both games will look with actual gameplay, controller in hands point of view. I'm still excited to play this game.

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
didn't vote because im still considering buying it just for a change of pace and to see what Live has to offer. But judging from what ive see so far I may wait to next year. looks like the void is to big for me to enjoy it. But I withhold judgment until more info and vids are out. but as of right now.........meh........Comment

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
I have it pre-ordered. I know this will take a multi year effort and I want to be sure I did my part to support competition in the genre. Plus I want to see how these hourly updates play out and I am very interested in the bounce tek sig stuff.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
Well, right now, dont now ... it aint looking good.
I mean, being as ignorant as I am, as far as I know, of all things, graphics is the easiest to improve when going into next gen consoles. Even if these consoles werent supposed to be centered around them, but looking at what the competition has managed to pull off, Live14 has underperformed in that.
Going by hystory, graphics were not supposed to be one of Lives weaknesses (I preferred the competition but still) yet somehow they seem to be now, pair that with the still apparent lack of animations (specifically transitional and in between ones) and with apparent AI ones (thus aint fair to judge by just this very limited trailer) and things didnt look good to me, at all.
So, the only things not making me completely disregard Live as of now, is that I have yet to see: extended gameplay footage, indepth details of every features and modes (specially association), online features (be able to play with more than an user per console, spectator mode, etc), modes (something like crew, connected careers, etc) and functionality (less lags, servers out of order, not been able to play due to moderate nat, etc) and news about the game editing and customization. Also, Synergy integration to the rosters used to be great, but lets wait how it translates.
If those things are good, might get back onto the worth to give it a shot mentality, but again, as of now, its not looking good ... had I had money to spend without any regards, would have bought the game as Da-Czar said, to support the bball virtual genre and competition, but given my current finnances, aint going to do it without any strong reason to do so.Last edited by ffaacc03; 10-19-2013, 10:02 AM.Comment

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
I'll be redboxing (not sure it's a word) live as soon as its up, and will decide if the gameplay is good enough for me. Hopefully it is good. But I don't expect it to be up there with 2k... I mean its 2K.

That alone means the game will be subpar this year. Saving my money for the amazing looking 2k14#SIMNATION

Re: Will you buy Live and why?
I just can't support a product for the sake of having competition. For maybe $29.99 I could. And yes I did read the whole statement
