Because EA Sports has always "been there" for everyone here above the age of 15. It's hard think of your childhood hero as anything less.

Wow. I'm really pissed off at that statement, huh?

      Live with an exclusive license?

      I don't even wanna imagine.

Sad, but true. Tried to tell people to ease up on the grandiose statements and ridiculous expectations about technology "built for next gen" and the fact that as long as the same people making decisions were in place to overrule the "new team's" vision for the future the same kind of crap was going to keep happening.

          2. The rest of you already hit on the 2-3 year plan thing again. I'm actually OK with those kinds of plans, but coming from EA? Not so OK.

          3. The statement that REALLY pisses me off: "get back on top of the mountain in a similar fashion to our Madden series, our FIFA series, our golf series, UFC". You ****ing *******s BOUGHT your way to the "top of the mountain" by shutting out competition. So the rest of you twerps sitting in here talking about you're going to support EA (not Live, but *EA*) because you want to see competition? FOH! You're supporting the company that has violated the thing you hold most dear more than every other company COMBINED!!! You're an idiot of that's your reasoning.

To me, this is not a crack at Live and the dev. team. This is aimed at that company. I have NO respect for them at all. Why does this bother me? I LOVED how NFL 2K made Madden step up it's game. I LOVE how Lameday did the same before that time. Since the NFL deal, Madden hasn't gone to **** necessarily, but they sure as hell have not done enough to reflect 8 to 9 years of unabated resources to make a greater game. That quote above encapsulated EVERYTHING that I hate about how EA does business.

I'm pretty sure most of you don't care. Why should you. I just had to vent. I'm seeing red.
That's why EA is being labeled as the worst company in gaming. They beat competition by taking away licenses....from FIFA to NFL. That's why i don't like them and don't buy their products. There should be a game ruling body that should prevent this thing from happening. What they done is ILLEGAL...it's like monopoly. IT took away competition and it hurts consumer choices.

This so much. My only regret is that I can only like this once.

NFL 2K5 was the last football game I bought. I didn't even get around play it. I bought it simply to support the better company and the one that wasn't EA.

I was seriously thinking about getting next-gen Madden-- the doctored "Feel It" trailer looked good-- but I'm glad Kotaku uncovered their shenanigans.

I called another 3 year plan a month ago. Basically they are saying the game isn't up to where it should be. How in the hell can someone still go out and buy this game is beyond me but to each his own

They've had 3 years to work on this 3 year plan and they need another 2-3??? GTFOH!!! Lol

                Yeah, you are exactly right.

Precisely why I don't buy Madden, NCAA, and won't be buying this.

I was cautiously optimistic about Live, but seeing this interview I am done with it. Their zenith this generation was when Mike Wang was there, since they decided to "go in another direction" it has been a comedy of errors. Whether that is coincidental or not, it is what it is.

Bunch of us saw this coming. We knew there was NO way they'd come back after 4 years and be able to release a product that could even touch 2K with a 10 foot pole.

Another 3 year plan? Okay i'll see you when NBA Live 16 comes around. Not paying to beta test the first two games of a 3 year plan, it's ridiculous.

But that puts a lot of things in perspective for me dude. my very first NBA game was NBA live 95....how can I turn my back on them now. I feel you on that. Yeah 2K looks amazing....and you better believe its gonna be the first game I pop in my PS4 at launch but I truly believe this will be not only a good Live but the best Live ever released and seeing as 10 was possibly the best NBA Live game ever then why are we complaining. It's progress. So, I feel you on this statement.

Why is everyone so bent out of shape about a 2-3 year plan. This is what all developers do I'm sure....this is called thinking ahead....into the future. This does not mean the game is bad it just means EA is not content where they are and they know it. They are committed to getting back on top. I really think the community is being too harsh on them. Them not thinking ahead is probably what cause the whole debacle in the first place with that Elite ****. So what if it takes them until NBA Live 16 to get back to the golden days....the next gen consoles will still be in their early years and just barely starting to mature. Same thing happened to Madden....06, 07, 08. IMO 08 was the first solid one. 09 actually felt complete. It happens. Fifa had a rough start on current gen too. Took a few years to get it right. Be patient guys....at least we have something basketball related released from EA while they continue to get better. I don't know about ya'll but I'm feeling good about the direction they are going after this trailer.

It's what all developers do? WHAT? Name one 3 year plan that 2K had to implement into their basketball title? They've been the undisputed leader in basketball since NBA 2K6, and a lot of people will tell you it's been longer than that.

You keep having these 3 year plans, and you'll never make any progress. They were on their way with Live 10, scrapped that and ruined everything they had with Elite. Now, we have ANOTHER 3 year plan? What happens when 2K still outsells Live every year? Another 3 year plan? With another head of creative?

These 3 year plans do NOTHING but set you back 3 years. Mainly because they can't get it right. It's the same reason why Madden has been a fail this entire generation, they've had multiple 3 year plans. Yeah it worked with FIFA, yeah it worked with the NHL series, but these development teams had a vision, stuck to it and made it work. The NFL and NBA series from EA sports are a joke with these constant 3 year plans.

We shouldn't have to keep paying full prices for games that are the starts of 3 year plans. This has nothing to do with being patient, we just know the track record when it comes to EA Basketball titles. These 3 year plans never come to fruition, and even when they get close, it gets scrapped for something worse because of poor sales.

EA needs to go all out and deliver the best experience they can with EACH TITLE, because news flash, they're not going to outsell 2K anytime soon, maybe not ever again. I understand the optimism from some of you Live fans, hell, I started out with Live 95 on the SNES, but when you start putting out inferior product after inferior product, there comes a time when you have to realize you can pay the same price for something better.

It's funny that the best NBA Live was 10, where Mike Wang was the head game designer, the same guy heading the NBA 2K team.. That tells me all I need to know. The guys who work on this game just don't know what they're doing to give us a complete, sim experience, they just don't have it.

EA is literally the only company iv'e heard use this 3 year plan moniker. They really should have it copyrighted. It's nothing but an excuse to me

I think they will try to buy Take Two again..They tried like a year or so ago..which means EA will own 2K and Rockstar...So they would own all sports titles except baseball and the nest GTA will be published by EA.....but let just hope its just another 3 year play to announce another 3 year plan...

I'd rather them produce a solid, quality game every year like the competition has done every year.

They can't, they've proved time and time again that these 3 year plans are nothing but bull. They can't give us a quality, sim game. 2K has raised the bar when it comes to basketball video gaming, EA can't reach that bar. They've proved that time and time again.

There bent out of shape because this is the 3rd time and I repeat the 3rd time they have announced a 3 YEAR PLAN and they never complete the 3 YEAR PLAN because they always scrap the release.

IMO all they do is try to bait consumers into buying/commit to there product with the promise of the 3 YEAR PLAN knowing damn well there never was a 3 YEAR PLAN in place in the first place. Just my opinion not fact
