I totally agree with this and for anyone to claim otherwise for ANY game is hogwash. I don't care because ratings are too subjective. But don't try to claim that any game could ever be that good at ratings.

I hope 2k doesn't do this too...still interested in live though. Hopefully you can edit rosters beforehand like Madden?...or a least create-a-player???

honestly, not a big deal for me. I don't care about in game injuries or anything like that. just the fundamentals. Can't wait to try the demo.

          I agree ..

I'm big on not telling people what to do with there money but I'm telling you do not spend $60 for this game. At least test the demo out and them decide.

This is why taking away options is bad.
I still use KDRE's edits when I fire up live 10. Game still used synergy back then and the edits made it much more playable.

I was actually going to get this game to see how it fared against 2K's.

Now that they take away the thing that made them stand out (player editing) and don't have injuries, I may not waste my money. They have to really impress me now.

I love how this site actively promotes 2K news yet puts question marks and "..." in Live news.

Nothing against a company paying for advertising or having a closer relationship and thus providing more info, but there certainly has been a biased feeling for sure this year.

Maybe the uncertainty and "bias" is warranted, basically show me why I should give you praises. So far nothing. I actually don't mind too much about the lack of in game injuries/player editing that much.

Gotta love how OS chooses this to highlight after the thread was created.

The lack of fully fledged modes was to be expected if you followed this game. Heck even the other game had to trim stuff. Just part of the first release on new consoles. Maybe these modes will be a focus next year or its not even possible with synergy. If the offline modes are lacking to begin with, roster editing won't save it anyways.

The focus of these next consoles is all about online and staying connected. Unfortunate for the offline people.

And how should live handle injuries anyways? Your my player jumps and lands weird? Not gonna happen.

The news just gets better and better smh. So is the game going to be $19 or $29 since they are giving people half the features??

I'll never understand the clamor for made-up in-game injuries, it's the most random and annoying thing to me playing a basketball video game. I want to play my best team against the opponent's best team, I don't want either one to have some fluke injury decide the game.

Also don't care about player editing AS LONG AS the players are routinely and consistently updated. That was the problem with 2K--there was no rhyme or reason for a lot of the ratings and you were lucky if you got 3 major ratings updates a year.

That's why they should have the option to turn injuries off for guys who don't want a realistic experience.

With the way it is now, it sounds like I can play potato chip knees like Andrew Bynum and Greg Oden for 48 minutes a game with little to no repercussion. Of course, there will be fatigue... Well, maybe there won't be, who knows? But, there's definitely no reason to take guys who already log big minutes (like Lebron, Rondo, etc) out for a rest now. And there's nothing sim about any of that.

Injuries happen in real life and they should be a part of the video game, well unless they're going for an arcade game. In my opinion, injuries should be a combination of their injury rating and fatigue. Plus, with the powerful NG systems there's no reason they shouldn't be able to add in realistic looking injuries.

I'm still interested in seeing what EA has planned for Dynasty, but this pretty much turns the game into a "No Buy" for me.

This is complete BS. The reason there are quotations and question marks around Live posts is because.......EA HASNT CONFIRMED THE INFORMATION. If you read Ryan's statement its safe to assume that player editing is not accessible in any other mode but you cant confirm it from that statement. Thats why there is a ?. There is no bias.

Oh Live...you have no idea really how much I want to love you. I reluctantly moved on to 2K from 2K11 since I didn't have much of an option, but I stuck with you all the way from 95 to Live 10.

None of that matters, because you take out the only thing that matters to me - player editing and regular CAPs (not Rising Stars or MyPlayer or whatever the hell its called). I appreciate the gall of saying "f*** your player editing we'll do it ALL for you EVERY DAY", but not everyone likes to play that way...if I can't even give Evan Turner an elbow band or create Latrell Sprewell and put him on a team because I just feel like it...then I don't think we can ever be connected as game and player again.
