@DW3 make sure you turn on the "auto motion", that's huge. Check out the "how to play" look at everything you can do. This game is pretty darn deep when you utilize everything. Be patient with it. I think you'll like it. I took me awhile to appreciate everything.Comment

Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here
Same here the game actually has a lot going for it but the live team did a terrible job in letting people know how to get the most out of the game, also it would be great to see them slow down the speed of the signature dribbling in the patch it looks great but is waaay to fast and hence looks jerky.
Some really nice layup animations are in there but again these could be built on further as well.Comment

Can't wait for Live 15. They can add a few more animations but truthfully I don't like too many of those. The game need to be more smooth as well.
Also, what is this long update for the game? I'm on 1 of 3 and its taking a while.MegatronComment

@dw3
It's called auto motion calling. Make sure you change it to AUTO from manual. You change it in Game Settings. Not sure what it means exactly, but for me, it keeps the players always moving depending on what's going on the court. I think it's what causes the problems with players appearing to just stand around. On manual, you have to call plays to get them to move around. On Auto, they do it without you having to call plays. Keeps it more organic and the flow is much better.Comment

Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here
I don't use auto motion
I like calling my own plays
the more I play this game
the more I see how it plays like a real NBA game
it just took a while to get used to the controls
the controls are pretty much perfect
they really just needed a tutorial mode like NCAA to get people used to the
controls.
at first I wasn't sure about this game, but now I'm having fun playing it
it's not perfect like any other game, but it is fun to play, if they had
teamplay it would be perfect in my bookComment

Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here
Top annoyance is the CPU PG goto of driving to the paint, pumpfaking, then making the layup regardless of who's nearby.
If you're on the One, look at my GT/add me and check out my clips. I have one egregious example where the ball actually clips through not 1 but 2 defender's block attempts, 1 after it was out of the shooters hands.Comment

I think it's just a lack of animations to counteract the offense inside..unless your swatting the ball, you generally have no chance...had Kenyon Martin do the same to me the other day...Comment

Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here
If Kobe is pushing his defender away on purpose, because he can see Rose is driving to the basket, then this game has some of the sickets details at little things.
On the other note, I really hope they'll touch on the clipping in the patch. I don't expect the game to be clip free, but this much in only one little play?

This is exactly why I fell in love with Live 14 in the 1st place. It plays just like what the real thing is, same pace.MegatronComment
