Again. I'm not saying the game didn't have it faults. It had a ton but I'm simply pointing out that Live 15 is going in the direction of Elite series whether or not thats a good thing.

23 I know you were one of the dudes playing the game in Venice Beach. I remember that thread, Im not trying to say the game wasn't bad because it was, but I don't think the idea of going towards a more physics based game is bad idea because it isn't. Elite 11 was trash, but the idea not the execution was a step forward for basketball gaming in my opinion.

I agree that its great that the game is going more towards physics based organic gameplay, but I also feel the series has to be ready for it. I hope it's more Fifa and not Madden. I truly don't feel Madden was ready for physics gameplay yet. Hope Live fairs better.

I think Live would need at least a 6.5 - 7 score to be considered successful going forward if you was to base things off ratings. At the end of the day for each individual person, your own personal opinion of the game should be all you need.

Review scores are useless

Professional reviews, maybe not so much...but...Some people go by them. I certainly go see the customer reviews that are verified customers on amazon when I need a quick take on things before I buy a game, sometimes.

I don't believe all of the rating scores to be genuine coming out of the major sites, as they seem to be biased much of the time. For example, Last year, the "competition" got scores in the 8+ range (80's) because of graphics, while remaining unplayable for far too long with numerous gameplay/server issues/bugs to get a real 86 score, 5.6 (56) by users, (FIFA 15 is rated 82 by metacritic and 6.9 (69) by users for reference) that they received in Metacritic.


With that said, anything less than an 80 (or 7.0) can be considered a fail. This LIVE 15 release is being touted as a major upgrade from LIVE 14 and as such should warrant a much better score, a major score upgrade.


If we as a community keep settling for less, we will continue to get less. Lets raise the bar across the board.

My review score is the only one that matters. could care less if someone doesn't like a game. I loved Live 14 for what it was, not for what it wasn't.

Just using IGN's review scores for a reference here:

NBA LIVE 14 = 4.3
NBA LIVE 10 = 8.2
NBA LIVE 09 = 6.5

I think somewhere between live 09 and live 10, due to the massive overhall to improve from the disappointing nba live 14. So, I say around 7.4 or 7.5 would be a good start.
