Is the lag much better than last year?

Really enjoying the game. Had a few people over last night to check it out. 1 is a die hard 2k player and the other just a gamer in general. Both agreed that Live had a different vibe to it and really had fun playing it. They actually couldn't believe that it had stepped up its game so much this year. They just about used up the rest of my 6 hours. Darn. But was worth it because 1 of them went to Gamestop and preordered it this morning. He said it felt different and he was feeling it. He also was feeling the soundtrack too. But the atmosphere blew him away especially when the announcer started chanting "defense" in a deep, cryptic voice. They said it was all the little stuff that they were liking and the fact that Shephen Curry was killing me. I normally do big Madden tournaments during Thanksgiving weekend every year. Now they want to include Nba Live. Funny how things change. Now Live is respectable and enjoyable again. Next year should be even better.

Great post on the live fun factor. This is why I want user/guest accounts for online. Playing with friends, making the extra pass and kicking out for 3's is so much fun with a group of people and even more satisfying when it's against an online opponent or opponents.

Sucks I gotta wait til the 28th to try this out though but I'm liking what I see so far.
I agree!/my only wish is is that they improve their animations to make the game more realistic. Everything seems to be super quick from shooting to passingand a lot of the player mute movements don't look right sometimes. But I can see how this will be fun to people it is not a very difficult game to pick up and learn so it is welcoming to casuals. Compared to NBA Live 14 this is a major upgrade. Now everything isn't great about it it is missing a lot of the little things gameplay wise that 2k has but overall its a great package. I am looking forward to NBA Live 16

I dont like the dribbling feels like you have no control
Defenders dont switch on the perimeter leaving shooters wide open
And the half time show could be good but its too long, they need to cut some of those sectoins out, like the shot chart, really?
Post moves are terrible, if I see one more 1980's hook shot!
Games seems to be harder than it was on the first couple days (which is good)
Too many strait up jump shots in/near the paint
Ball goes through defenders on some layup animations
The graphics are nice with the exception of some players
Animations still need alot of work but way better than 14
            Overall a decent game.

As far as lag goes, they've made huge improvements compared to last year.

Gameplay, on the other hand, still needs some tweaks Post defense is still almost nonexistent. No matter the contact, my opponent just kept making everything in the paint.

Opponents can still stick to your ball handler all the way up the court, no matter who you have. There is no reason why D. Rose shouldn't blow past Steve Nash when Steve keeps reaching for the ball.

Besides those complaints, it's actually fun to play online with LIVE again. Hope that Day One patch fixes some of those things.

Just played my 1st game on Xbox One Ea access and to be honest I'm confused. I did not expect this game to be this good/fun.

There was one thing that had me concerned and it seems like EA has the same problem it has had in the past and that's PG domination. Grant it I only played 1- game at 5 min qtrs on Pro to get a feel. Cavs-cpu vs Lakers-me and Irving took all the shots. LBJ wasn't even a factor. Seemed like a 3rd/4th option if that.

Gonna play the Lakers/Knicks and see if Melo is the ballhog that he is.

I will say I want to only keep 1 Bball game and this one has made it a difficult choice.

                  DAMN YOU EA!!!

What system are you on PM?

Also, I don't think Synergy is kicked on the trial. Does it do the updating synergy part before the game?

My first game, the Cavs at Thunder finals preview was horrid with the PG domination. After that game though, everything smoothed out.

Well the game isn't PG Dominant like in Live's past that's for sure. And Melo? I honestly thought I was watching a Knicks game Live!! I held him to 7/16 shooting on AS 5 min qtrs. He was on the elbow/the block hanging out out past the 3 pt line. It's as if the gameplan was to go through Melo on offense. True Melo is what I got this game

I did notice when I loaded up the game this time it showed Synergy updating.

Cpu was down late with a minute or two left and they called proper TO's which was good to see. Cpu was aggressive with intentional fouls which was cool.

JR Smith was the next closest to Melo in fga @ 4/6

Right now I just don't know what to say or make of this other than this game is a HUGE step up from last year. The thing that concerns me about making it my 1 and only game is if EA will stand by it and not go MIA once it releases and some HUGE bug crops up???

It I had to choose a game right now between the 2 if would probably be this game 60/40. That could swing of course after a few more games

                            Thoroughly impressed with this game:

+Graphics look awesome. The lighting, IMO, is better than the competition (2K is darker), and arenas look livelier. The jerseys and skin tone colors look great. Face scans for most of the starters are on point. I like NBA Live's KD facescan but 2K's body type.

-Animations need some work. The weird side arm passing sticks out like a sore thumb. Overall, some of the animations look stiff. There are some cool dunk and collision animations, but they seemed to frequently repeat.

-Player body types seem too muscular.

-/+Decent learning curve with the controls. I don't like the requirement of holding of the icon-passing button to complete a pass...On the flip side, the controls are fairly responsive. Unlike the competition, there isn't much of a lag when pressing a button or long drawn out animations.
Feels like you have more control.

This game is definitely fun to play, won't offer as much of a simulation experience, but it is a viable alternative. Next year is going to be a great year for basketball gaming.

Nice impressions flight. FYI, 14 was updated with rosters and game play improvemtns all season. They actually updated the rosters (Love and James on the Cavs) and gameplay improvements. I don't see them going MIA this year.

They have a serious foundation in place like they had with Live 10. This game reminds me of it. Let's hope 16 and beyond improve on this years game.
