Re: NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I must say, that after playing the EA trial some more and setting motion to auto and the difficulty to All Star, I am having a lot of fun with this game. I think that I am going to get this game after all since it is fun for me to play.
Once I switched to All Star, the games I have played have been getting better. On Pro, it seemed that the CPU would nail everything on me. Once I switched to All Star, the FG % for both me and the CPU have hovered around the 50% mark.
I just need to work on my post game. Been playing better D as well. I think EA has done a great job with improving the game and making it fun to play.PSN: ckarlic

I'm not gonna go with someone else's Impressions any longer in regards to this game.
I PURCHASED I PURCHASED I PURCHASED. NBA LIVE 15 you've won me back!!!!! Fellows say this game is "Arcade" well hell I guess it is if you play it that way. If you play it "Sim" it yields "Sim" results.
2K15 is a helluva game but it goes back in the morning. I'm laying in bed with NBA LIVE 15 for Xbox One and my wife Amber of course.
Thank you EA for bringing me back to where B-Ball gaming all started for me with Lakers vs Celtics 1991 on Sega Genesis in Fresno, Ca. Oh how I've missed you!!!!Last edited by Flightwhite24; 10-26-2014, 07:07 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

I'm curious to see what the Day 1 patch will do. I was up at 4:30am this morning and went downstairs and fired this game up and I've come to the realization that I am a EA/Nba Live FANBOY. As much as I want to go with 2K for what most call "Sim" my heart makes me fire this up.

Now don't get me wrong I want to see the players and teams play like they should and the animations are still lagging behind for a XBOX One game but as mentioned before I plan to get it at some point and play it my way in a SIM manner of course LOL!
I'm not sure what exactly is on the arising in terms of a patch but if they tweaked it just a tad more for the Final retail version then that would be great.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Yeah they seem to have added a Fun FACTOR back into the series more than anything....

Re: NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
There were several of us that said we wanted "FUN" to be in our game. If its not fun, then I don't have time for it. The game that I played against the Knicks, I was mentally on edge, but I was having a blast. Every time I'd get close, they'd pull away. The animations weren't perfect, but I didn't care. The thing that I did care about was the challenge. It didn't feel scripted, I didn't feel cheated, they went on an organic run and I felt like there was nothing I could do. Made a few changes (Left Left on the D-Pad) to focus on superstars, set it to double Melo, Tight on and off ball, and I put Lebron on him. They started going elsewhere, other guys were chipping in for them. I stayed patient, and ended up getting the score to 6... then 4... then 2, then I finally took the lead.
Game is flat out fun.
The biggest thing I want, is for more and more OS'ers to pick up the game. The more that I have your guys' voice during events, the better WE can make the game. Thanks to all who are picking it up and going in with an open mind. Truly appreciate it.Twitter - WTF_OS

Really struggling with two things so far.
The shot release timing is way too early. Feels like you have to quickly tap the button for a good release which throws out any type of rhythm.
Second is lack of play art. Unfortunately I can't run an NBA offense without any indication of what my players are doing. Makes it really difficult to get open shots.
I'm enjoying the game so far otherwise.

Yeah, play art is there. You have to call a play in order for it to come up. Hold down either left, right or up on the dpad. Those are you're different plays.

and I never understood what that fun statement is all about.. Fun is so vague.
is it fun because its easy to pick up and play, is it fun because it isnt trying to be sim?
folks need to clarify.
what I get from the statement of "fun" is,- its fun because its not 2k, nothing more, nothing less.Comment

I'll test it when I get home.
Flight hit the nail on the head as far as fun goes. The past two years playing 2K has felt like an exercise in frustration. I play games to have fun.Last edited by dubplate; 10-26-2014, 08:04 PM.Comment

Re: NBA Live 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I'm curious if anybody in here cares that they're running Live on a PS2 era engine, which is why the animations are an issue, as well as "ice skating" which has plagued the series since it went 3d..... not that 2K is any better, they doing the same thing with their Dreamcast era core engine as well
Also if you guys pay close attention, they are unable to run the game at a constant 60fps.... the replay cut scenes fps drops down to 30fps...
last year on Live 14 it was even worse because if you picked the baseline cameras they ran at 30fps, so some of the gameplay was literally running at 30fps..
so on these next gen powerful consoles, they're using an ancient engine, and can't even figure out how to run a game at 60fps that should be a cakewalk for the Xbox 1 and PS4... Nevermind the fact that EA has been treating us like a bunch of kids with their last 2 Live releases....
I will be back to check out Live 16 if they implement sliders, but definitely not giving these guys a dime as long as they keep insulting our intelligenceComment

You guys are killing me with your impressions.
Can't wait to try the demo on Tuesday. If it is similar to Live 10, I might just bite.Comment

I'm not going to lie 2k is sim man. You can't knock that. The plays , the A.I. , animations , post game etc... I thought that's what I wanted but lately playing 2k feels like a chore for me at times. 90% of my time has been in the arcadey park lol no mygm, myleague , or any rank games.
I don't want live to be another 2k . I play video games for fun and escapism after work and school lol. Scream at my tv in excitement instead of frustration . That's what I'm hoping for in live 15 .Not knocking any game though I plan to keep both .#1 Laker fan
