Man, you guys are the biggest bunch of whiners and cynics I've ever heard. Why would a reviewer from IGN say there were signature shooting styles if he didn't know they were in the game? I agree that the shots I saw in the video were not signature at all, but I bet they have them when all is said and done. If it were just some press release from EA I would be more skeptical, but we're talking IGN here.

As for the dunk comp, I think it looks tight. I read an interview with VC where he said he could do a 720 so why not? And I haven't read anything about no 1080 so whoever posted that please send a link or paste it into this thread or whatever. If that's true I'd be pretty disappointed - that would be going too far for sure. I hope they keep the guys below the rim, too. I'd hate to see dunkers with their heads way above the rim. I've seen blockers in Live 2004 with their neck at the rim and I always hated that.

Still gotta give EA props no matter what. I've wanted this for 10 years and it's about time someone did it.

Um since when did IGN become respectable and reliable? They get reports wrong often and a lot of their reviews, especially for sports games are average at best. I'm not saying there won't be different shooting styles in the game but IGN are certainly not the most reliable or respectful source for these things.

the point of the video was to show off the dunk contest and 3pt contest, and the whole all star weekend, it would be stupid to show it off and not have the sig. shots.....sure, it is early

I like the arcade approach because if it was too much of a sim, it would get boring quick because you just can't go beyond what the NBA stars are doing now. If it was more sim like, I'd say the contest would have around 200-300 dunks and thats going to get boring quick. I actually enjoyed the All-Star Weekend video because I always loved the three point contest. I couldn't tell the diffrence between the jumpshots in the vid, but the game is early so I'll give them that. Man, that dunk contest is gonna be fun as hell!!!

Why are some of you making such a big deal out of the fact that the dunks aren't realistic. If they did make them realistic,you same people would be calling it boring. You can't win with some people.

actually, i got used to the idea that Live's dunk contest will be full of unrealistic dunks.......the fact is, u can choose to do realistic dunks......some of the unrealistic dunks i don't mind, but its the dunks like the ones where u flip jump in front of the free throw line and put it through ur legs twice, i don't even know if they can make that look like it can be done...........if the unrealistic dunks can look like they can actually be done in real life, then its straight wit me
