I can't believe people are already getting upset about how bad this game is when its not even out yet. Give EA a chance! If you were excited about it before you should do yourself a favor and at least try it.

Well I never said I was'nt buying the game. I still am. Its just that everytime a game gets pushed up, you can expect a flaw or two because they're rushing the game out of the door. Not to say the game is rushed, but if they held it back for more quality control, or at least held it till its initial release date, then most of the problems that ppl will find could have, should have been corrected.

I'm not one of the ppl who cant wait to get they're gruby little paws on a game. I can most certainly wait. At least I can be assured that flaws and glitches were worked on before it was shipped.

I don't think he's saying a week. But every year these games come earlier and earlier.

BAsketball games use to come out in November after or when the season would start, then they would come out in oct. ....now it's late September.


Soon it will be august.

Why not release the game when the season starts??? It does not make sense.

There will never be a perfect game made...if they did...there wouldnt be a reason to release the game the following year. These people are professionals, they know what goes on. They just arent "forgetting" to put these things in the game.

Hey man, normally, I'd be the first person to say exactly that but after a dismal year in gaming all around for me, I'm starting to question the way a developers cycle works.

I sit and stare at the back of the book for credits and I usually see dozens names for testers and such. But I often wonder how much testing really gets done for some of these games to be released the way they are.

Live 2004 should have not been released with Offensive rebounds non-exsistent. It should'nt have been released with a FA bug also. But it was.

So while I'm usually the first person to tell ppl "no game will ever be perfect", I've been maturing more and more as a gamer and I have to admit, I'm getting quite tired of mediocore games. And no, I'm not reffering to NBA live or any game in general.

Why do you think games are moved up? Its not because they are finished early. If that was the case, then games would be perfect. Take this NBA Live vs. ESPN thing for instance. Why did EA move the date up and also lower the price? I'm sure you know why.

I agree completely. They could have released these games on opening day for the NBA, it STILL wouldn't have made a difference.

Things were/were not implemented for a reason. Maybe EA doesn't see anything "wrong" with it.

I've stated it before, and I'll do it again. The complaints of a few are going to sour the game for some. The game isn't even out yet for Christ's sake.

I just think there are the few that will NEVER be happy with the games we have. You never see people posting "Wow, I think they made ASW too fun. What was EA thinking??" Only those that always see something as it "making the game unplayable."

And now, it's even worse. Before the damn game is released. Aye... aside from slider set posting, I think I may stay away from the bball forums for a while after release.

Ummm...yea. How long do you think a testing phase last? Honestly, I dont know but I would assume that if given a week more time, more things could have possibly been ironed out.

One thing I do know is that EA did'nt push the game up because it was 100% complete. I'm pretty sure the dev team gets frustrated when they run out of time because when flaws appear, we all like to blame the devs. And I'll admit, I've blamed a few devs for things here and there. But I'm sure if they were given a deadline that was cemented in stone, these games would be less flawed.

The movies we are seeing are CPU vs. CPU.

But, Steve has confirmed playing two player in his own time.

well if we are seeing cpu vs cpu
1) i didnt really see any mid-range jumpers

2) fast breaks are horrendous, yea they cant be perfect, but the other game does them better.

3) is it just me or do these PG not even have the ability to bring the ball across center court?? THe vids i saw, the defender is like a rock solid wall that the PG cant manage to bump off and dribble ahead. SO many times the PG was forced to pass the ball across midcourt.

I agree. I'm not one of these people that whine about everything. I just don't understand why they won't fix the fast breaks and make the defense feel realistic. I was playing Madden today and it was so damn near perfect. Why can't they fix the simple problems in bball games?

And ESPN looks HORRIBLE so I know I won't be getting that.
